ip6tables forwarding rule
I have 2 boxes that act as IPv6 routers. One with 2 physical
interfaces, the other with 6 vlan ''interfaces'' on one physical interface
plus a second physical interface. On both systems I have in
/etc/sysconfig/network
IPV6FORWARDING=yes
But if I have my ''basic'' ip6tables service running, only ICMP messages
get through. Since both of these boxes are

IPv6 two or more providers, duplicating routing table does not work
Hello,
shorewall6 seem to have problems duplicating the main routing table. shorewall6 tries to add the fe80::/64 route of every ipv6 configured interface to routing table 1.
The first route applies but the other ones not.
If i try to add the routes manually to routing table 1 i have to add the first fe80::/64 route and append not add the other ones.
does not work:
ip -6 route add table 1

shorewall6-lite's shorecap sourcing /usr/share/shorewall-lite/lib.base?
Hey all,
Just a sanity check, but should the shorecap script in shorewall6-lite
be sourcing /usr/share/shorewall6-lite/lib.base rather
than /usr/share/shorewall-lite/lib.base like it does currently?
In fact shouldn''t there be a general s/shorewall-lite/shorewall6-lite/
in shorecap in shorewall6-lite? Maybe there is more of that lurking
about as well.
Also, the first line of the

IPv6 under Centos?
I wonder if anyone is running IPv6 under Centos-5.2?
Particularly with shorewall?
I see that shorewall6 is specifically designed for updating shorewall
to IPv6, as described in <http://www.shorewall.net/IPv6Support.html>.
Unfortunately, this explicity requires kernel 2.6.25 or later,
and iptables 1.4.0 or later,
both of which are later than any versions I've seen on a Centos

Assigning IPv6 address to guest
Hello,
I am trying to assign an IPv6 address to one of my guests. I followed the
following guide, unsuccessfully:
https://www.berrange.com/posts/2011/06/16/providing-ipv6-connectivity-to-virtual-guests-with-libvirt-and-kvm/
.
I have the following config files:
dumpxml of the guest `deb`: http://sprunge.us/iUef
net-dumpxml of network `default`: http://sprunge.us/WTfH
net-dumpxml of network `ip6`:

IPv6 static routing
So I do not want to run radvd on my public subnet (between the gateway
and firewall).
I am trying to set up the firewall's public interface. For now in
ifcfg-eth0 I have the lines:
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
HWADDR=00:40:F4:05:A8:F1
IPV6INIT=yes
IPV6_AUTOCONF=no
IPV6ADDR="2607:F4B8:3:1:0:40:F405:A8F1"
ONBOOT=yes
And in network I have:
NETWORKING=yes
NETWORKING_IPV6=yes

IPv6 range provisioning question
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
A few months back, I tried to use the network scripts to provision an IPv6 range
like can be done with IPv4. I was using CentOS 5.2 at the time and was informed
that 5.2 was broken in this regard. I have upgraded to CentOS 5.3 now and I am
trying to get IPv6 to provision an entire range of IPs, but I am still getting
the old behavior and no IPs are

IPv6, HE tunnel and ip6tables problems
CentOS 5.5, fully patched.
I have a HE tunnel (tunnelbroker.net) IPv6 tunnel. This works pretty
well and is simple to setup. Everything works fine.
Until I try to set up an ip6tables firewall.
eg if I try to view https://dnssec.surfnet.nl/?p=464 then the page never
displays and the firewall shows

[Bridge] IPv6 + ip6tables packet bridging?
Hiyas,
Is there a patch for the 2.4.x series to do
ip6tables bridging of IPv6 packets? I was unable to
go to 2.6 due to issues with large packets so still
living in 2.4 land. If there are no patches, any
ideas on what gets patched in IPv4 to allow this
bridging?

I'm not seeing any outbound IPv6 traffic from my CentOS 7 box on the WAN
interface. I do see RA's emitting from the LAN interface, from radvd. Is

Miredo server for Centos 6
On delving deeper into Miredo support, it seems that Miredo Server is a
separate program from the Miredo client/relay. And that there is no
Miredo Server available for Centos 6. Not in EPEL 6, or repoforge.
So far the maintainer of Miredo for Fedora/EPEL has not reponded to a
query on its status for EPEL 6. I have to ask on repoforge about
miredo-server.
Anyone know of anywhere else to
