really happens here on the mailing list. Plus I hope this might help some
other lost soul since google failed to connect this motherboard to *any*
mention of the r1000.

Intel G33 Compatibility for Centos Server
Been running rock solid servers on Centos 3 and 4 for
years but equipment is starting to die so it is time.
I was thinking along the lines of an Intel Q6600 on an
Asus P5K-VM mobo with the new G33 chipset utilizing
SATA. Is anyone having success with this board or any
of the G33 chipsets where I am not going to run into
all kinds of install problems?

Quickbooks 2008 - How can I get this functional?!
So, I got Quickbooks 2008 working in the latest WINE, and Ubuntu 11.04. Problems happen when I try and open an existing company file. It wants to update, and then updating fails, and then the whole shebang fails to load after that. I even tried copying the Quickbooks folder from the other system (just need to change the license) to make the updates more complete. Same exact problem. It crashes on

tftpd-hpa
Hello,
I need help in setting up tftpd-hpa to send a kernel to a client,
on a debian woody installation. I did manage the feat when using tftpd
to send a kernel to a client which had a separate network interface card,
but I would like to do it with integrated LAN. Trials with tftpd
failed with error messages starting with 'PXE', and later I learned that
tftpd-hpa is needed for the PXE

modern motherboard for centos-5
I'm considering upgrading, and am trying to choose a modern motherboard
that nevertheless fully works with Centos5/RHEL5.
Though I'm partial to AMD processors, and would like to use one in my
new configuration, that's not a requirement, if the most appropriate
board happens to be intel-compatible.
However, given the way ASUS is dumping LInux and crawling more firmly

cpuspeed on centos 5
It appears as cpuspeed is not running on my centos 5 box(s).
One is a biostar motherboard Am2 6400+ the other is Asus am2 4800+.
If I do "service cpuspeed stop" it says OK,
If I do a "service cpuspeed start" is says OK.
However at no time is cpuspeed running.
/proc/cpuinfo only shows the cpu running at 1000 Mhz.
If I manually run "cpuspeed -C & " I now have

Nvidia Driver and CentOS-3
Ok, Well I have narrowed it down to my mother board.
It is a Biostar mother board with an NForce2 chipset.
I have the Nvidia driver working on my home machine
which is and Asus board with an NForce chipset running
CentOS-3 and the Nvidia driver works fine.
It has to be the NForce2 Chipset that is no good. I
have tried updateing bios, Kernel and Xfree. There is
just something with this

PXE-Boot fails after reboot with kernel 2.6.x
Hello list,
I've been using PXE Boot for quite some time now and it has been working
without any problems.
I'm using a Biostar M7VIZ mainboard with a VIA KM400 chipset, and
VIA-Rhine VT6102 NIC.
Yesterday I upgrade the Kernel on my net-boot machine from 2.4.24 to 2.6.12.
When I power on the machine it boots up normally.
However, when I reboot the machine, the mainboards PXE-ROM only

Faster USB key booting?
I'm using syslinux for booting a thin client from USB key. It took just
over 1min (from reset button to 'Ready'), loading a 1.2M kernel and 2.0M
(approx.) initrd; about 55s of this was syslinux. Once the initrd
starts, it takes only about 1s to load the 5M image from the key, which
corresponds to the advertised 8MB/s read speed. This is using
syslinux-3.08pre5, USB-HDD booting,

Could everyone that has a working production Asterisk server that uses a
Digium telephony card as a BRI/PRI gateway let me know what

We use a Digium TE210P as our telephony card. We have tried a couple
motherboards, and neither is giving us satisfactory zttest scores.

[PATCH] xen/smp: Fixup NOHZ per cpu data when onlining an offline CPU.
The xen_play_dead is an undead function. When the vCPU is told to
offline it ends up calling xen_play_dead wherin it calls the
VCPUOP_down hypercall which offlines the vCPU. However, when the
vCPU is onlined back, it resumes execution right after
VCPUOP_down hypercall.
That was OK (albeit the API for play_dead assumes that the CPU
stays dead and never returns) but with commit 4b0c0f294
