Missing /etc/log/rpmpkgs
On one system I am missing /etc/log/rpmpkgs I believe that this file is updated by some cron job, and maybe I just have not had this system powered up at the right time for the job to run. Though I had thought that if a job was scheduled for a time the computer was off, it would run sometime soon (with some definition of 'soon') once the system was on again. On another system, I

[LLVMdev] Finding safe thread suspension points while JIT-ing (was: Add pass run listeners to the pass manager.)
So, I'm bringing a discussion that has thus far been on llvm-commits to llvmdev because I finally (and thanks for helping me understand this Andy) understand what is *really* going on, and I think lots of others need to be aware of this and involved to figure out the right path forward. You can find the full review thread and more context under the subject "[PATCH][PM] Add pass run

RFC: Coroutine Optimization Passes

I experimented with several approaches, but, cloning ended up being the simplest and most reliable. Suspend points express three different control flows that can happen at the suspend point: a

It's configured in /etc/anacrontab and is usually run once a day by the script /etc/cron.hourly/0anacron - cron.hourly is still run by cron. If the script doesn't exist, then

minute cron
Hi all, CentOs has choosen anacron as default cron daemon. I did not look further about the reasons, I think there are some good reasons. I want to create a minute based set of scripts. No much precision required, once a minute more or less 20 sec is OK. Using anacron, how do you recommend to do it? Is anacron the right tool? Otherwise what's the right tool? -- RMA.

rsync server-client users
Subject: rsync client-server users Are you using rsync in a client-server configuration? If you are, and if you have set up your cron or anacron tables to run an rsync client, does the client ever just hang? I am running one rsync server and two rsync clients, both clients are under control of anacron. And they both hang on the rsync command, forever. All three systems run Red Hat 7.1 and

Infinite loop shutting down xendomains
Pardon me for a long detailed post but this looks pretty serious. The bottom line is that, when I attempt to shut down or reboot my simple xen-2.0.7 server running FC3 with two domUs, shutting down xendomains appears to send python into an infinite loop. This may be due to a serious misconfiguration on my part but it is certainly a big problem. If we shutdown the domUs manually first, the

Getting number of students with zeroes in long format
Hi, I have longitudinal school suspension data on students. I would like to figure out how many students (id_r) have no suspensions (sus), i.e. have a code of '0'. My data is in long format and the first 20 records look like the following: > suslm[1:20,c(1,7)] id_r sus 11 0 15 10 16 0 18 0 19 0 19 0 20 0 21 0 21 0 22 0 24 0 24
