Hi All. I've updated my system from 6.3 to 6.4. In my /etc/yum.repos.depel.repo I have: [epel] name=Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux - $basearch #baseurl=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/$basearch mirrorlist= http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=epel-6&arch=$basearch failovermethod=priority gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5

There have been some complaints recently concerning this, so I thought an explanation of the setup AND recommendations are in order. First, I want to say that we need more donated servers with fast (at least 100mbit) internet connections. If you are making lots of money using CentOS and are a hosting provider, please consider providing us a donated server so we can better distribute CentOS. Now

greetings, wicd is preventing firefox and yumex to connect to internet. when i first try to connect to a web site with firefox, i get err message; Unable to connect when i click [Try Again], connection is made. all further connection attempts are ok. when i try to run yumex, i get error message; Not connected to a network. Hi I wanted to download and install the net-snmp package. Usually on my other CentOS boxes i use the following command to do it: yum install net-snmp I was able to successfully install net-snmp on 4 of my CentOS boxes but not on one of them. It reports me the following error message: [root at localhost yum.repos.d]# yum install net-snmp Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Determining fastest

Interestingly, if I try a yum update on one of my other boxes I get similar errors.
