Hi All; I ran Linux as my main laptop OS for several years, then I got into a mac shop and bought a macbook. The macbook is ok but it just doesn't cut it per productivity so I've ordered another laptop (a 64bit laptop with 8G of memory expandable to 16G and 2 internal 320G 7200rpm drives) I'll be loading Linux as soon as the machine arrives from Dell. Hi All, I am switching from Fedora20 to CentOS7 since I now run all my Linux development in a VM and I get a more robust feature set (i.e. shared folders with the host that "just work", etc) The only issue I have thus far is VPN connections. Looking at what's installed on my old Fedora install I suspect I need these packages: kde-plasma-nm-vpnc kde-plasma-nm-openvpn

Hi all; I'm running KDE 3.5 on CentOS 5.4 I have wireless working however every time I boot I have to enter the wireless key. Anyone know how to get NetworkManager to save the keys? I've tried going to the 'edit connections' and adding the key there as well with no luck. Thanks in advance

Hi LIst; I would like to bring apache up to listen on an lternate port (like 81 instead of 80) however if I change the listen value in the httpd.conf file then it fails to start saying that : (13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address :81 any Ideas??

hello, the last 3 times I installed C5, the MBR was unchanged and nothing was written into /boot/grub except splash.xbm.gz there were no stage* files, nor a menu.lst I know how to fix that. Would I have better luck using a partition mounted as /boot? Anyone succeded with Grub that way? I prefer not having to do surgery to get C5 to boot :) -- Mark New Packages for C5 ---------
