What libs req'd to resolve DNS within a chroot jail?
Hi,
I've been working at getting a tftp server up an running in a chroot jail,
and I have finally succeed getting almost everything working. The server
itself works fine, however, it is implemented as a tcpwrapper application
(ie: in.tftpd) and I am having trouble getting it to resolve DNS names. I
copied my /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny in my chroot/etc folder,

Postfix smtp freezing
Hey all,
For the last 8 months I have been running a postfix / mail scanner setup
based on Johnny Hughes' excellent tutorial.
For the firs 7 months I have had no issues. This past month I have been
having instances where the user gets an smtp error while trying to send
email.
Restarting the postfix service is all it takes to resolve this issue.
The problem is that it has begun to occur

Could not connect to host box.domain.tld
I have used fetchmail/procmail/postfix/dovecot/kmail for some time on my mail
server, and have set this up on three or four machines in the past. I'm now
setting up a new server and having problems. I've reached the
thinking-in-circles stage, so need a prompt.
The box in question is called borg2.lydgate.lan, and resides at 192.168.0.40.
I can ping both borg2.lydgate.lan and

BIND issues, server not responding
Hi all,
My CentOS 5 nameserver is seemingly unable to be queried by anything but
itself (localhost, 127.0.0.1). From any other machine, including the
primary which *does* transfer zone files correctly to this machine
(which is secondary), requests time out.
I've put SELinux into permissive mode, so I don't think that's an issue.
/var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf begins thus:

OT-ish: GPG problem
I'm asking here because it is the best resource I know for knowledgeable
people. The problem in question occurs on my Fedora 9 box and Fedora 10
netbook, while another person, Chris, has the problem on a Mandriva 2009 box.
Whatever is causing it, that leads me to think that it's not distro-specific.
Both of us are using kmail.
Kgpg sees and lists all the keys on my keyring.

This morning my laptop could not connect to the server by its fstab mounts. I
restarted nfs and restarted the network on the server, all without making any
difference. Restarting the network brought

Installing Postfix/Dovecot
I have just installed CentOS 5.1 on my home server and I am trying to
set a mail server.
I have diligently followed the instructions on the Wiki - How To on the
CentOS website (http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/postfix). However I cannot
send internal email (I haven't yet tried externally).
Do you have any suggestions on what to check? To test it I used two

one server handled sendmail added two more servers messes things up
Hi all,
I had one server running centos 4.7 i686 everything was fine with
incoming mail.
I now added two more servers centos 5.4 x86_64 and gave them machine
names all
part of the same domain as machine 1. I noticed that incoming emails are
being
round robined to all three machines. At this time I really just want
the one original machine
to handle my incoming email... The other two new

nfs and permissions
My CentOS box is my server for data and some services, including nfs shares.
On my laptop I have folderviews displaying two directories on the server, via
nfs mounts. An fstab line mounts each, such as:
192.168.0.40:/home /mnt/borg2_home nfs nosuid,exec,rw,bg,soft,intr 0 0
From the folderview I have no problem accessing the files and directories.
Now comes the problem. I use kontact, with

Lua Push Notification Plugin
Hi Admin,
I hope you consider reading and addressing my concern promptly.
For the past few days I've been setting up a VPS with cPanel and WHM
pre-installed on Bluehost. I want to enable push notification plugin in
Dovecot2.3.5. I tried OX and Lua plugins and got errors.
For using OX plugin:
