Realtek 8111GR on C7
Hi list,
I'm planning to buy a mobo (z170-K) that has Realtek 8111GR (nic).
I've tried to search on google about support on C7 but can't fine anything.
There is a way to check if supported?
Is the Realtek 8111GR supported or I must change mobo?
Thanks in advance.

Realtek 8111GR on C7
Realtek is "real" good about getting drivers for their chips into the
kernels as soon as possible. They are one of the few vendors that I have
never had a problem with built in support...

motherboard for cents 6.3
Seems like overnight every motherboard that worked with linux has
DROPPED off
the face of the earth.
Every motherboard I looked at is using the realtek 8111 chipset and a
northbridge
that is not supported.
Example: GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3, does not work with linux
I tried disabling the onboard NIC and using a PCI-E intel card I always use
and that would not work either. The north or south bridge

R1000 Driver for RTL8110SC NIC on Biostar I945G-M7
Executive Summary: Realtek has an r1000 driver for the rtl8110sc NIC at
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads
I've posted this in the forums but it looks like all the action for CentOS
really happens here on the mailing list. Plus I hope this might help some
other lost soul since google failed to connect this motherboard to *any*
mention of the r1000.
I thought I found a great little

That RTL8169 thing...
Motherboard - Intel DG41TY
Device: RealTek: 8111D
Driver: RTL8169
Causes Kernel panic during install and boot.

It seems that the newer the card that uses this driver, the worse the problems are.
Is there any plan to roll a newer version into the installer or the actual distribution itself?
Thanks,

Performance Issues with GBit LAN
Hi.
I have 2 PC's connected with 1GBit NIC's. When I transfer a file from my File-Server(Redhat9.0, 256 SD-RAM, 300MHz PII, RTL8169 NIC, 2x Western Digital WD200JB RAID 0) to my Windows-PC(AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 1024 MB DDR-RAM, WINXP PRO, RTL8169 NIC, 2x Western Digital WD080JB RAID 0) with Samba, i get Speeds around 8-9MB/sec. I think this is too low for an GBit Network, so i tested the

OT: NIC Problem (Fwd: In response to your USRobotics technical support questions, your case #:300882125)
And my last post on the matter.
This is why I won't do business with USR again anytime soon. They
couldn't even be bothered to tell me this on my first query to them.

feedback/help request
Hi,
First, let me thank you for the excellent documentation and
programming work on Syslinux. It has made getting to this point
infinitely easier.
Unfortunately, I need to request some guidance in
troubleshooting a problem I am having using the RedHat installer on
their version 7.3, which uses Syslinux as the boot mechanism. A little

Problems with installation
Hi all,
I try to install CentOS 4.3 for X64_64 on a new Dell PowerEdge 2950. I have
two problems:
1.
After booting from CD I pressed 'return' to start installation (BIOS-support
for USB-keyboard works). After probing the hardware my USB-Keyboard is not
working anymore. Dell removed ALL PS/2-Interfaces so I have to use USB. When
I start installation with 'linux noprobe' the
