Postfix problem
Hi
I have a CentOS 4.2 server with postfix. The problem I'm having is
that postfix insists on using $myhostname in the from field even if I
instruct it to use $mydomain in /etc/postfix/main.cf or even if I hard
code the domain name into $myorigin. What am I missing?
BTW: postconf shows output shows that $myorigin is configured to use
$mydomain, or the domain name itself ...

multivariate splits
Dear R users!
Does someone know about any algorithms / packages in R, that perform
classification / regression / decision trees using multivariate
splits?
I have done some research, but I found nothing. Packages "tree" and
"rpart" seem only to be able to do CART with univariate splits.
Thank you for your help!

I don't think it would make that big of a difference, since the
saturation is outside of the inner loop. If it's that

Wine WMF vulnerability?
Hi,
I recently read about that Wine is vulnerable against the WMF bug
that was recently closed on Windows. Is it really true?
Is Wine really as bug-for-bug compatible with Windows? :-)

Which version of DirectX 9 does Wine support?
Hi,
I came across a game demo, Shrek the third.
The installation went almost smoothly, but the
installation directory it went into was
C:\Program Files\My Product Name
instead of the suggested default:
C:\Program Files\SHReK the THiRD
The demo said it requires DirectX 9c and indeed
it doesn't run because it needs d3dx9_32.dll.
It seems Wine doesn't provide this DLL currently.

ARM4 filter code
I have found that filter_mem2 fixed point does not match the inlined
assembly version for arm4. Looking closer there appears to be an off by
one error. It occurs when setting the value of mem at the end of the
inner loop. In the C fixed point version this is done with a subtract.
In the arm4 version instead of multiplying den by yi, it is multipled by
nyi and then an add is done. This

Transport Tycoon Deluxe for Windows installation failure / Wine-20050930
Hi!
I wanted to install Transport Tycoon Deluxe for Windows
but the installation does not even start.
I have wine-20050930-1fc3winehq.i686 on my system, FC3/x86-64.
The installation directory seems strange on the very first window,
every backslash character is painted as a strike-through upcase
letter W.
Browsing for another directory or typing the directory manually
gives the same problem.

Zimbra MTA and Contact package?
Does anyone have any feedback on the Zimbra MTA and Contact software?
I just saw that Comcast is going to start using the software, I played
with it over a year ago and dumped it. It seems to have been developed
much further and works, open source and compiled for RedHat 4 Enterprise.
Any feedback would be helpful...
Thanks,

Any ETA on 5.4?
I can wait, I just have a project coming up and am planning. I remember
seeing a post a couple of weeks back that RedHat 5.4 was released and at
that time a couple of weeks was thrown out for Centos 5.4 being
released. Are we still on schedule?
Thank you,,

Looking for an application to work with Centos
I'm looking for a application, and or ideas on how to ....
Set up a web page that can be cataloged by search engines capturing all
of the part numbers in a db. This page would be tied to a MySql or
other Linux DB so that people can also do a basic on site part number
search.. We have 150,000 different part numbers, we would like all
150,000 picked up by the different search engines.

Domain Admin group problem
Hi,
I've got an interesting problem with my Samba 3.0.2a on Debian Woody.
I've created the Domain Admins group as I could read in the
documentation, and I added
a user to this group called "star". If I login to a Windows 2000
workstation, which is a member of the domain, I can login, but I don't
have administrator rights on this workstation. The Domain Admins group

feature request: winbind use cached credentials more agressively
Hi!
Winbind is rather suboptimally reacts to networking changes.
I use my notebook in at least 3 different network settings, in one of them I
have very probabilistic access to DCs
(cisco vpn client is a crap).
An nss lookup sometimes takes very looong, sometimes even returns failure.
Sometimes I have to login as root and restart winbind to get to my X session
past the screensaver. This is far

Wine 0.9.7 failure report: hungarian tax software
Hi,
I wanted to try Wine whether it was capable of running "Abev",
the official hungarian tax software.

Main installer is: http://www.apeh.hu/cgi-bin/pil2006.pl?abev2006telep.exe
and one has to install at least one tax form type for this software to
be usable.
Choose one of the numbered tax form installers, e.g.:

Problem adding replicated bricks on FreeBSD
Hi Folks,
I'm trying to debug an issue that I've found while attempting to qualify
GlusterFS for potential distributed storage projects on the FreeBSD-11.1
server platform - using the existing package of GlusterFS v3.11.1_4
The main issue I've encountered is that I cannot add new bricks while
setting/increasing the replica count.
If I create a replicated volume "poc"

centos5 iptables expert needed
Hello,
I'm setting up a centos5 router for a friend. It will direct traffic to
an internal webserver, already in place, as well as run squid proxy. It
should do nat and have a firewall with iptables. I've set up routers before
for this purpose but always of the bsd type and using their firewalls. I
understand the concepts, nat, packet filtering, etc. but i'm not getting

SELinux permissions for apache
Hey Jeremy,

Adding 'rw' to the command did the trick. I tried httpd_sys_content_rw_t and
that works fine! Thanks for the tip!
