vtun -- no IPv6 support?
Reading many comments about vtun available through google searchs seems
to imply it supports IPv6.
When I install it (v 3.0.2-1) and bind it to an interface that does NOT
have IPv4 defined (only v6), start the service, and do a 'netstat
-nat|grep 5000', I see it bound to 0.0.0.0:5000, not to the IPv6 0::/128
equiv address.
What gives? IPv6 support or not?
Meanwhile I found the kame

Arithmetic Error while compiling R with the Intel compilers
Hi Team,
I downloaded the R 3.0.2 and, built and installed it
using Intel compilers (icc and ifort) from Intel parallel studio 2013,
sp1. After performing make tried to check it using 'make check'. Most of
the tests passed successfully but while checking a 'stats' package I saw
many lines were printed which did not match the desired output.

The bfd library (used by ar and nm) already searches for plugins in
$install_dir/lib/bfd-plugins/. Maybe we could pass an option to llvm's
configure to tell it where

[Bridge] <kernel BUG> generated on bridge up/down & other issues
Hi,
I've been encountering some problems with bridging under linux
2.6.12-9 (ubuntu Breezy Badger). Apologies for the newbie-ish email:
problem is likely a config issues, but docs appear to be sparse and I
can't find much reference to the problem/solution on the 'net; trial
and error really isn't working...
Am attempting to bridge an offsite network to the central

SNAT on IPSEC tunnel with kernel 2.6/KAME tools?
Hi,
Could not conceive an working set-up for an IPSEC VPN made with racoon/setkey

[LLVMdev] Building llvm-gcc4 on amd64
Hi all,
I spent several hours today trying to compile llvm-gcc4 from svn and llvm from
cvs on amd64 linux. In the case anyone else decides to try the same, this
could ease your pain:
1) check out llvm, llvm-gcc
2) create llvm-obj llvm-gcc-obj
export LLVM_INSTAL=<install_dir>
cd llvm-obj
export LLVM_OBJ=`pwd`
../llvm/configure --prefix=$LLVM_INSTALL --enable-debug-runtime

linux multi-threaded compilation is running only on one processor
Hello,
I compiled R-2.15.2 with linux intel compilers (see below).
when I execute some R code on a // 4 proc x 4 cores // server
(export MKL_NUM_THREADS = 16)
very often I have the situations where only one processor (4 cores) is
active instead of 4 (16 cores) !
do you know this fact depends on what ?
thank you !
P.S.
many functions of R are single-threaded,
is there a simple way to make them

No rule to make target all.R, needed by compiler.rdb building R 3.4.1 from source, Scientific Linux release 6.9 (Carbon)
Hello,
I am trying to build R from source on Scientific Linux release 6.9
(Carbon), Linux version 2.6.32-696.3.2.el6.x86_64 (Red Hat 4.4.7-18).
I load the needed modules and run:
*./configure --prefix $install_dir --with-blas --with-lapack
--enable-R-shlib 2>&1 | tee config-R-$version.log*
The "configure" command seems to run ok:

Hello,
it looks like the usual way to do ipsec on centos5 won't work anymore on
centos6
I installed ipsec-tools but an interface type IPsec is not recognized by
the kernel

Device does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
I am not planning to use the awful OpenSwan, I Want to sue the Kame
implementation which was working fine on CentOS5
any hints ?
