Habituation model : several sequences in several sessions, should I use getGroups?
Dear all, I am looking at habituation of dogs trotting on a treadmill. Each record is made of 40 to 50 data for the same variable (for example Peak). I get each record at several minutes (1, 2 and 4) for each session. And I have 4 sessions of training (one session a week). The aim is to study the effect of the factor (Minute) on the Peak variable, and to study the changes of this effect

Slightly OT: Extra icons on desktop - SOLVED
I can't think of a better word for this than "weird." I went back and reread most of the emails on the original thread, and both Ross and Bill suggested that something about "misc" might be off. So, I created a new mount point called "other," pointed fstab at it, modified my scripts and symlinks that used to reference /misc, and rebooted. Voila! /other was

Habituation model
Dear all, I am looking at habituation of dogs trotting on a treadmill. I record the ground reaction force and I analyze it with several discrete variables (maximum, minimum,...) For each variable, I get between 40 and 50 data per sample. I record data at time 1 min, 2 min, and 4 min a day, and I have 4 days of measurement (one day a week). That means I have 12 samples : Day1_Min1, Day1_Min2,

Slightly OT: Extra icons on desktop
I'm running FC8 with Gnome 2.20.0 at work and I have this interesting situation. I have two disks on the system that are both configured to be mounted in /etc/fstab, but I'm seeing two things I believe are strange. One is that the second drive is not getting mounted at boot time. The other is that I see two icons for the disk on my desktop - one with the mount point of the drive, the

memoir and latex
I installed Centos 4.2 last night, I moved from Fedora Core 4 to it as I wanted to get off the distro upgrade treadmill, so I'm still learning about centos. I've been trying to add the memoir package to be used with latex but I can't find the exact right place for it. Can anyone who's installed it or knows about latex tell me please? Hopefully thanks Sharon. -- 12:50:25 up

lme How to validate a model with a validation set and a t est set
If you used all 28 animals to find the model out of a group of candidate models, I would have my reservations about this 'validation'. Any confidence intervals you get from the final model are bound to be overly optimistic because you haven't accounted for the degrees of freedom chewed up during the model fitting/finding process. Upgrading from 4.4 to 4.7
Hello all, For (system) certification purposes, we have to upgrade our 4.4 machines to 4.7. In the past I usually have just reinstalled machines to save the (perceived) headaches of upgrading. That is not an option in this case. Are there any pitfalls to watch out for when upgrading? Is it even possible to go up 3 revisions? Thanks, John -- Did you know that it costs forty thousand dollars a

HELP...Running data
We are two french students and we have a problem concerning an exercize. We don't know how to resolve it. It would be fantastic if someone can help us. Thanks. Error while set mailQuota=0 with mbox and LDAP backend
Hi, all. I have OpenLDAP(+qmail.schema), Dovecot, Postfix installed on RHEL 5.1 (x86_64), and they works fine with mbox format. The problem is if i set 'mailQuota=0' in LDAP, postfix can't send mail to recipient user. But it works fine with 'mailQuota != 0', such as '10240'(10M). What's wrong with my mail server setting? How can i solved this issue? Thanks very

SV: SV: Looking for a guide to collect all e-mail from the ISP mail server
And which email clients can do this? A defacto standard needs to be adopted. If I don't provide SPF or DKIM, I am likely to be deemed spammy, hence a defacto standard has been established. I don't see this with TOTP. I'm all for TOTP, but I'm not going to code my own. ? Original Message ? From: sebastian at sebbe.eu Sent: October 27, 2020 5:56 PM To: dovecot at

Standard error of mean for aov
Hi all, I'm quite new to R and have a very basic question regarding how one gets the standard error of the mean for factor levels under aov. I was able to get the factor level means using: summary(print(model.tables(rawfixtimedata.aov,"means"),digits=3)), where rawfixtimedata.aov is my aov model. It doesn't appear that there is an equivalent function to get the standard
