dlmglue fixes
David, So here are the two patches. Remove all patches that you have and apply these. The first one is straight forward. The second one will hopefully fix the livelock issue you have been encountering. People reviewing the patches should note that the second one is slightly different than the one I posted earlier. It removes the BUG_ON in the if condition where we jump to update_holders. The

[PATCH] ocfs2: Plugs race between the dc thread and an unlock ast message
This patch plugs a race between the downconvert thread and an unlock ast message. Specifically, after the downconvert worker has done its task, the dc thread needs to check whether an unlock ast made the downconvert moot. dnf-makecache.service failing every few days and dnf-automatic.service samba freeipa issues (again).
Hello everybody, What is the status of the freeipa/sssd and samba conflicts in the repositories? I can not wrap my mind around that two big packages are not getting security updates anymore, because they are conflicting. I will go to FOSDEM in Belgium this year to figure out more, but I am considering moving my centos systems to rockylinux. Kind regards, Jelle de Jong On 12/16/22 16:59,

Another Discovered/Undocumented feature of yumrepo - and a workaround
I was working with yumrepo, defining new entried and seeing them appear in /etc/yum.repos.d After considerable tinkering, and with the sad discovery that resource { ''yumrepo'': purge => true } does not work, I moved my working /etc/yum.repos.d to /etc/yum.repos.d-old and re-ran my catalog. To my surprise, the repo entried were appended to /etc/yum.conf Long story short: I

2GB File on AIX 5.2
I'm currently using Samba 3.0.10 binary from Bull AIX Freeware. http://www.bullfreeware.com/download/aix52/samba-3.0.10.0.bff I already configured Samba as a Domain member and ran winbind to authenticate with Domain controller. However, I have no luck to transfer any file larger than 2GB. Here is the error from Samba log file [2005/06/15 14:39:16, 3] smbd/error.c:error_packet(105) error

DebugInfo repo broken on purpose
This line in /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Debuginfo.repo baseurl=http://debuginfo.centos.org/$releasever/$basearch/ ?causes commands like ?yum search --enablerepo=* foo? to fail with the obscure error Error: Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'base-debuginfo' Apparently this is because the debug info RPMs aren?t hosted there any more, per the page at the top of the site.

php-mcrypt from c5-testing is the wrong version
Hello all, I am using the c5-testing repo to fetch PHP 5.2.6 and related libraries, required for the LAMP apps that I want to use. php-mcrypt still seems to come from the extras repo and is version 5.1.6 and the php binary doesn't load this module. Any ideas on howto get php-mcrypt 5.2.6? Thanks. -- "The secret impresses no-one, the trick you use it for is everything" - Alfred

RJS sporadic error message
I have this form that allows a user to enter a username and save it, assocciating your profile with theirs via an id. A list gets updated and a partial is displayed. The problem is that when I hit the submit button to this form to make this all happened I (sometimes, but more often then not) get an RJS error that reads: TypeError: Cannot set property ''innerHTML'' of bull. Installing gecko in wine with proxy
Hi, I am currently trying to make an app work under wine, and it needs gecko. The automatic installer pop-up, but can't download anything. I think it's because I'm behind a proxy, but I don't know how to configure it. -- Colin Pitrat (Bull Services Telco) Bull, Architect of an Open World (TM) T?l : +33 (0) 1 30 80 72 93 www.bull.com -------------- next part -------------- A

Binary distribution for AIX 4.3
Hi all, Does anyone know of a binary distribution of a fairly recent version of samba for AIX 4.3 ? I've tried the 2.2.5 binary distribution from www.bullfreeeware.com but when I ran testparm and smbstatus, just as a quick check, I got symbol table errors. Thanks in advance. Xen 3.2 and Big Real Mode support?
Hello, I read in the announce of Xen 3.2.0 released that it has "preliminary support for a wider range of bootloaders in fully virtualised (HVM) guests, using full emulation of x86 ''real mode''" . I''d like to know what is the level of the emulation of x86 ''real mode''? I ask that because I tried to install OpenSuse 10.3 (I used the iso file

CentOS-Base.repo baseurl commented out
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Weird, as all CentOS machines under my control are suddenly giving the baseurl of Base repo not found error since this morning. Could be that mirrorlist is leading but all other options I found online to debug the error message seem to indicate that (un)commenting should fix it. x86_64 CentOS 5.3 Users - Library Issue
Hello, I need to conduct a little research. Anyone who is running CentOS 5.3 x86_64 please run the following: # yum install libxml2-devel # nm /usr/lib64/libxml2.a | grep xmlXPathContextSetCache If my suspicions are correct, if you run cPanel/WHM you will not see any output and if without cPanel/WHM you'll see something similar to this: 00000000000023a0 T xmlXPathContextSetCache Thanks

How do I confirm importing repo key without user intervention?
Hi, Sorry for asking it again. I just thought I asked the question the wrong way. Too much unnecessary details. And therefore, got no replies. I'm configuring a server from, say, a script (automatically). I need it to be done without user saying, "Yes, it's okay to import the key." I was told to run the following command: yum makecache -y --disablerepo=*
