Hello,
I would like to install OCFS2 on CentOS5.2 with the 2 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5xen
kernel. When I try to compile the OCFS2 source for this kernel I see a
message nothing todo for rhel5 in the vendor section.
What I did was the following:
1) run the configure script
2) run make in the ocfs2-1.3.9 dir.
How can I compile the source for my distribution? Has anyone succeded in

Domain0 with Kernel 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5xen fails to boot Guests with Kernel 2.6.18-164.el5xen
Hi all,
I am in a bit of a fix here, I have several Guests paravirtualized
running on a Dom0 that is currently running the 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5xen
Kernel. All my guests (administered by different people) have
subsequently been updated to later versions of the kernel (namely
2.6.18-164.el5xen or 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5xen).
Ones that are still running are using the Kernel 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5xen

madwifi on Centos 5.2, kernel 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5
Hello,
I just installed Centos 5.2 on my wife's IBM thinkpad T41 with Atheros
wireless.
It looks like I need to install madwifi to get the wireless to work. Our
home wireless network uses WPA2
I found the EL5 rpms at atrpms, but there is no madwifi-kmdl rpms for
kernel 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5.
So, to get the wireless working on my home network, what's the shortest
path from here? Install

CentOS and SANs
Hello,
I'm looking to build a CentOS server (or servers) with a SAN to support
a large user base. Question: if you had a budget of $25K (or more if
necessary), what you build? I'm interested mainly what hardware and
software is best supported by the OS, but anything you have to say on
the subject is welcome.
Thanks,
Jack

strange network problem
I can't figure this one out. There's a Belken USB->Ethernet adapter as
eth2 on my server. After a reboot it doesn't communicate with anything
ever though it's up:
ipaddress is 68.15.6.136
gateway is 68.15.6.129
# ifconfig eth2

systemd and httpd
Hello,
On my new CentOS 7 server httpd stops running after about two minutes or
so. strace shows me the process is asking for a password, and failing
to get one, times out. In reading the docs I see an option to systemd:
--no-ask-password. Can anyone tell me where and how to set this?
As a workaround, I added "KillMode=none" to httpd.service, but I'd
rather use the option to

tomcat error on x86_64 with 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5xen & jre 1.6.*
I get the same error as this person:
http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=9349
Like the poster, I get the error with tomcat 6.0.13 on
x86_64, kernel 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5xen and both jre 1.6.0_01 and
1.6.0_02
When I revert to jre 5u12 on the same kernel, I don't get
the problem.
If I stay with jre 6, but use kernel 2.6.18-8.el5, I also
don't get the error.

networking problems with kernel 2.6.18-8.1.15.el5xen
Today I installed a core CentOS-5 (--nobase). After that, I
"yum update", rebooted, then "yum install xen kernel-xen".
When I boot into the xen kernel, I can't get networking on
eth0. It can ping itself, but not anything else. There are
no routes listed, when I try to add a default gateway, it
just says there's no network reachable.

First of all I am posting this on two lists for a reason, because the

Kernel update or due to Xen.
I have recently managed to update all Xen Guest domains running CentOS

Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings broken under xen 3.0.3-142.el5_9.1 / 2.6.18-348.1.1.el5xen?
I am not sure what I did, but for some reason Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings are
broken on 64-bit xen desktop machine (but not on my laptop (32-bit, no
xen)). Both machines are (mostly) up-to-date and running CentOS 5.9.
I rarely hop to different Virtual Consoles (eg Ctrl-Alt-F1 ...
Ctrl-Alt-F7), but today I wanted to go to the main console to watch
some kernel verbage (I was checking something with
