Spamassassin/Sendmail issues
I am running a server with Centos 4.4, using a combo of
sendmail-clamav-spamassassin for mail, which has been working quite well
up until last night. Around 3:00am, all mail going to all users was
being rejected by spamassassin. My ~/mail/.procmailrc is as follows:
========================
MAILDIR=$HOME/mail

* ^X-Spam-Status:.*Yes
{
EXITCODE=67

/dev/null

sendmail and spamassassin
I have a problem getting spamd and sendmail (both stock CentOS4 rpms)
to work together on a couple of smtp relay machines. This is clearly
a configuration issue and no doubt revolves around my lack of
comprehension of how this is to work.
Basically, the setup consists of two frontend public smtp transports
that redirect all email through a firewall to an internal imap server
for final

Logwatch reporting spamassassin messages as unmatched entries
I've recently switched to using spamassassin via a sendmail milter,
rather than using procmail to invoke it. This means that I get a number
of messages appearing in my maillog, and then being reported by logwatch
as unmatched entries.
An example of such a messages is:

Spamassassin as root and pyzor
I've just set up a new mailserver using Centos5.2
(sendmail+clamav-milter+spamass-milter).
I'm using the spamass-milter package from rpmforge
(spamass-milter-0.3.1-1.el5.rf).
I notice that the default setup is to run it as root. I set up my
previous mailserver on Centos4, and I can't remember if I did anything
special, but on that machine it runs as user "sa-milt".

Disabling Spamassassin on outbound email
Does anybody have a good method for disabling SA checks on outbound
email under sendmail running the spamass milter? Some of our Vhost
accounts are getting flagged as spam on the way out due to being on a
dirty ISP network.

Dovecot2 Antispam MAILTRAIN backend with SpamAssassin
Hi there,
I've already asked this question on FreeBSD forums without getting any
response. So, I thought it's a good idea to ask it again here.
I've setup Dovecote2 (2.2.13) + Postfix + SpamAssassin on my FreeBSD 10
VPS and it works flawlessly. Though, I couldn't setup the Dovecot
Antispam plugin to train SpamAssassin when I move mails to the Junk
folder.
I installed the

What makes Postfix superior in fighting spam?
How do I integrate MIMEDefang, SpamAssassin, and ClamAV with Postfix?
Are there migration guides for moving one's Sendmail anti-spam and AV

Help in starting spamassassin
I have installed spamassassin, per the instructions on Scalix's wiki,
and it is working, with some important caviats. So I asked for help on
the spamassassin user list, and got some, but I think I am butting up
against some Centos specific issues...
This is what I am seeing in the maillog:

-f ${sender} ${recipient}

I try to add dovecot-lda (with sieve support) as local delivery agent to
postfix config

Sendmail error: auxpropfunc error invalid parameter supplied
I just noticed this error in my messages log after restarting sendmail.
The only change I have made is
1) manual fix in /usr/share/spamassassin/72_active.conf
2) sa-update (several times)
Now the mail is not running ok, my mail queue keeps growing.
