6TB SCSI RAID vs. Centos
I have an Infortrend RAID box I'd like to see as one big 6TB partition, but I only can get 2.2TB partitions to work. I was trying to do this with an Adaptec controller but apparently they are only (any of them) 48 bits wide. Does anybody have a working system for SCSI/Centos over 2.2TB? > > No you didn't do what I showed you to do. Hallo Vitamin, yes you are right, I didn't install riched20 right, but know I have done it. The fonts at the login mask appears and we can successful login. But if we open a list page (company's list, invoice's list), Topix still breaks down. Here's the terminal's journal... If you could have a look at it, can you

Moving Spam to Junk Folder
I am following this tutorial: https://www.linuxbabe.com/redhat/spamassassin-centos-rhel-block-email-spam. I followed the steps in "Move Spam into the Junk Folder". When I send an email from a blacklisted e-mail address, I get a bounce e-mail from my e-mail server. Here is what is in my spamass-milter file: EXTRA_FLAGS="-m -r 8 -R NO_SPAM -i 127.0.0.1 -g sa-milt --

Local delivery via deliver fails for 1 user in alias
Hi all, I'm a bit baffled. I have an OS X server 10.6.8 and everything was working fine. Now however I seem to be having some issues and I'm unable to find log entries to help point me to the error. I have an alias, sales at cirrusav.com, which forwards mail to myself and two others. This works fine most of the time, but on occasion messages are not delivered to one user. It is possible

couple of problems
Hello all, I finally got spamass-milter and clamav-milter running, but have one error I've not been able to determine what is happening. From the log entry I see this line: SYSERR(sa-milt): hash map "Alias0": unsafe map file /etc/aliases.db: Permission denied: 39 Time(s) any pointers here? The 2nd item is with yum. I attempted to update, and wound up getting a fail on a

Spamassassin as root and pyzor
I've just set up a new mailserver using Centos5.2 (sendmail+clamav-milter+spamass-milter). I'm using the spamass-milter package from rpmforge (spamass-milter-0.3.1-1.el5.rf). I notice that the default setup is to run it as root. I set up my previous mailserver on Centos4, and I can't remember if I did anything special, but on that machine it runs as user "sa-milt". Is

Direct Dial In - second try
Hi all, I have an asterisk-server (cvs-head from august) connected to a carrier's switch (DMS/Euroisdn) via a te410p, and I am having problems with DDI (standard 'official pstn' number plus extra digits for 'internal' use) Basically, when the entire number (including the extra digits) is dialled via a redial or a programmed key, I see the entire called party number (including

Filename mangling warfare
Does anyone know how to tweak or disable filename mangling in Samba so windows clients don't read paths and folder names in 8.3? I have a few backup VBscripts that used to work by passing the name and path of a directory (on a Samba share) as an argument to be read by the script. Currently, on some windows 2k boxes, the full path and folder name are displayed correctly and named correctly

Puppet agents stop reporting after master runs out of disk space...
I am experiencing a curious event, and wondering if others have seen this... As well, I have a question related to it. Today, I noticed my puppet summary report from Foreman this morning, that 60 of my 160 hosts all stopped reporting at nearly the exact same time, and have not since restarted. Investigating, it appears that my puppetmaster temporarily ran out of disk space on the /var

User's and managing expired passwords
We have a policy that requires all user passwords to expire after 90 days. We also use puppet for managing all users on our machines. Our hope was, when our passwords expire, we could update the puppet manifest which would propogate to all our servers, thus updating all our passwords. The problem is, the User type (w/ manage_passwords enabled and ruby- shadow installed) will only set the
