Dropbox has an RPM for Fedora Core 9 (x86). I am running CentOS 5.4 on my Desktop, which I believe is based on Fedora Core 6. Are the libraries Fedora Core 9 uses substantially different than those CentOS 5.4 uses? Probably this is due to operator error, The Recycle Bin in GNOME disappeared, for this CentOS 5.5 (32 bit) Desktop PC. The box is fully updated. I just finished updating my Desktop, from CentOS 5.2 to 5.3 (32 bit). There were a lot of error messages (from sbin/ldconfig ?) about 2 files, in usr/lib/lib ending in .so "is not an ELF file - It has the wrong magic bytes at the start."
