SugarCRM pro and PHP 5.2
We're looking at SugarCRM 5, but they strongly recommend PHP 5.2.4.
Looking around I see that a few individuals are maintaining repos for
CentOS, but I'd prefer to get it from one of the larger repositories.
Anyone out there using http://www.jasonlitka.com/yum-repository/ ?
Any idea when PHP 5.2x will be available?

Does Redhat have a list of changed packages in 5.1?
The information at: http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.1
is great.
Does RH have something that shows what has changed with them from 5.0 to
5.1? So far I have only found:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-5.1-Manual/manual/doc000.html
Like what release of Firefox, etc.

What changes are you looking to make? Most times the pam.d/foo files
are not where you want to set things.

Health Monitoring
Hey,
I am looking for healt monitoring software for my centos5.1 box. Nothing
crazy (like nagios), just something that records memory/cpu usage every min
to 5 mins.
I added some vmware stuff and was looking to see when if swap gets used and
cpu spikes.

php 5.1 or 5.2
Hi,
The regular php distributed with centos 4.x is 4.x with php 5.0.x provided
from extras/plus. It seems that we are weeks (a month?) away from 5.2.0.
Are there any plans to upgrade those packages to 5.1 or 5.2?
Thanks.

binary upgrade 5.0 to 5.1?
Hello,
I've googled for this but haven't found an answer. I've got a 5.0 box
that i'd like to take to 5.1. I believe this is possible as i did an upgrade
from 4.x to 5.0 but can't remember what i did. Ideally i'd like to avoid any
downtime.
Thanks.
Dave.

KDE 1.0.3 and kdelibs problem
I'm able to get ./configure to get past the Qt error but now it complains
that kdelibs isn't installed, or the version of qt doesn't match kdelibs.
Everything was yum installed, and this is on CentOs 5 64-bit.
Thanks for additional configuration help.

RHEL5 and CentOS 5 root logins
I found, under a 64-bit CentOS 5 workstation install, it is possible to
modify /etc/inittab and add a couple of lines to prevent root from logging
into the console.
I found, under a 64-bit RHEL 5 server install, adding the same two lines
completely breaks the OS, to the point that a reboot after the lines are
added, the OS brings you to a fsck-like prompt, and other things break,
too. I

5.0 -> 5.1
Hi folks,
I have a production server that's currently running 5.0 with all
updates. What's the easiest, or perhaps best way to upgrade it to 5.1,
with minimal down time? The downtime is critical, so I need to have it
be a short as possible. I can live with an hour or two, but larger is
going to be a pain.
    Suggestions?

is only supported from kernel 2.6.19.
Thanks for any help

/usr/bin/id behavior since CentOS 5.2 upgrade
Hi list,
Since the upgrade to 5.2, when I log into my server with a ldap account
I have these 2 errors messages:
-bash: [: =: unary operator expected
-bash: [: -le: unary operator expected
After investigation, the trouble come from two scripts in /etc/profile.d:
/etc/profile.d/krb5-workstation.sh
/etc/profile.d/vim.sh
The problem is with the test where the command "id" is involved,

BackupPC won't fork after CentOS 5.2 upgrade
For some time now i have been running BackupPC 3.1.0 on CentOS 5.1
x86_64 however after upgrading to CentOS 5.2 BackupPC will not start.
"sudo /etc/init.d/backuppc start" return OK but there is no BackupPC
processes.
This fails also.
# sudo -u backuppc /usr/bin/BackupPC -d
# echo $?

This succeeds, but of course does not fork.
# sudo -u backuppc /usr/bin/BackupPC

Centos 5 32-bit vs 64-bit question
I'm trying to install a custom greeter into a newly installed 64-bit
Centos 5 system. I originally tried to modify Xsession to include xpop
/path/to/text_to_dispay as the first executable line, but that didn't
work.
Then I read about gdmconfig which led to gdmsetup which led to
custom.conf.
Nothing, so far, is producing a custom banner prior to login.
Is this an issue with CentOS

what happened to netconfig in 5.1
I am doing a yum install netconfig on the new 5.1
and nothing gets installed. Was it removed? replaced with something else?
yum provides netconfig does not show a "bin" command just false matches.
Is there a new command?
Thanks,

CentOS 6.5 VirtualBox
Hi
Is anyone here using VirtualBox? I've had it working rather well for
some time, but after some recent upgrade or the other it's started
exiting with a Segmentation fault just after startup, before windows are
opened or anything. I've tried a few different versions, all with the
same result. I'm using binary packages
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/rpm/el.

system-config-network on 5.1
Looks like there are NO command line options on system-config-network.
Like -d eth0
or -d eth1
I used those alot when 2 network cards are in a box.
Can netconfig be brought back to life?
Can I just install the one from 5.0 on new boxes?\
