More awk help
Hey guys, Looking through my book and the web and I am not having any success returning data from a search. I need to have awk search for a string and print the first field which is no problem but now its returning two options as the input data has changed. The change is reliable, I only want the first field if it ends in a regex that I have, and I only want what that regex matches to be printed.

error rsyncing large file
Trying to rsync a rather large file from a windows server to a centos server and all but this is working fine. As it's a 20 gig file I am trying to send the diff of with a -c, I suspect over the low bandwidth this presents an issue. I also stage this file locally on another centos server and could calc the diff and create a patch and send that, comparing checksums etc... A quick look at

OT: Infrastructure Documenting
We are moving all our (limited and badly organized) documentation to a wiki. Anyone got any examples/pointers to a hierarchy that made logical sense? We are hoping to move everything from topology to application specific notes in to the wiki. Given the size of this task, I only want to do this once:) Thanks for any reco's! jlc

pxe menu help
I am trying to setup a series of vmware esx 3i systems to be provisioned by pxe. Since you can pass the extracted config to the hypervisor in the pxe append line as a file on the tftp server, I presume I can use my CentOS DHCP/PXE server to hand out assigned ip's to specific hosts. Thus, I need a way to force each host to load a specific menu choice (with its own config) when starting. So
