Hi! In the release notes it is said RHDS will replace OpenLDAP. However, I can only find OpenLDAP in CentOS5. I tried to google the web but it returned nothing useful. Does anyone know about this? To All, I am going to try my hand at setting up an ldap server. I have looked at what is available and would like to ask your opinions as to what is a good one to have. openldap, centos-ds, and freeipa seem to be high on everyone's list. Hai, If you use that or the AD, then its incomplete, imo. Your missing ldaps (636) and the GC (ssl) 3268/3269) ports and maybe NTP (123/tcp) if installed. Maybe you dont need them, just an observation. I tried the following firewall-cmd --add-service=dns --permanent firewall-cmd --add-service=samba --permanent firewall-cmd --reload But was not able to connect until I disabled the iptables via iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT iptables -F then I was able to connect my windows 10 pro to my domain. So my question is what services or ports am I missing to open?

When I set up a machine with CentOS 8, I used the "Enterprise Login" in the initial setup wizard to authenticate against my FreeIPA server. This worked fine, and I have no issues logging in with that initial user. However, I am unable to use GDM or the console to login as any *other* valid user from FreeIPA.
