similar to: problem with yumdownload?

Just FYI. This machine has been offline and not updated for several months. I booted it and ran yum update. It generated an error. I googled the error, no hits. I did "yum clean all". Hi I use yumdownloader occasionally to grab RPMS. One thing that confuses me though is the --source option. I thought this would mean rather than getting the RPM that it would retrieve the source RPM. But it appears this isn't the case. Can anyone explain what this option actually relates to ?
