[Request] mod_auth_ntlm_winbind
http://adldap.sourceforge.net/wiki/doku.php?id=mod_auth_ntlm_winbind
I have built an rpm for my own use, by grabbing the source files from
sambas' web interface to cvs.
It would be real neat to have it packaged and available through yum.

Big devices and missing space
Hello,
I have a Promise EX 12-port RAID controller in my box, connected to 8
750GB disks. I have set up 2 RAID-5 devices and joined these using LVM.
This is working fine.
However, there is something that seems wrong..
(4-1) * 750 = 2250, but df reports the LVM volume as a mere 4.0T;
/dev/mapper/storage_volume-stor 4.0T 3.6T 507G 88% /storage
Shouldn't this be 4.5TB?

CentOS as VPN Gateway?
Hello,
I am currently setting up my new router, and I opted for using CentOS..
Now, I need OpenVPN support, and I'd rather not install it from source.
I tried yum, but there doesn't appear to be any packages for it available..
Any tips?

Can't get XFS enabled on Centos 5.0
I anm trying to enable XFS with no success.
I followed the instructions provided in
http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories/CentOSPlus
I installed the new kernel.
Example: 2.6.18-8.1.14.el5.centos.plus
I also installed these packages as described in a post I found
yum install --enablerepo=centosplus xfsprogs xfsprogs-devel
lsmod shows nothing about XFS
I would image there are others out there

A few questions regarding CentOS (5.0)
Hello list,
I'm a former Trustix User (were active in that community since the very
first betas), and now that my dear distro is dead, I'm looking to make a
switch..
Several people recommended CentOS, so I decided to give it a spin..
I installed one new server with 5.0 a few months back, and I do have a
couple of questions..

xfs module not loading
I'm trying to add XFS and ReiserFS to CentOS, integrating with
Kickstart. I think I'm fairly close. I've added xfs.ko and
reiserfs.ko to modules.cgz in initrd. Several of my partitions now
specify --fstype=xfs. I can see tty5 mkfs.xfs is creating the XFS
file systems. The system currently installs completely via kickstart,
but it does not mount the XFS file systems while in the

MRTG Problem - no traffic recorded
Hi all,
I've just recently replaced my old firewall with a new one, running
CentOS 5..
Yesterday, I decided to get MRTG up and running again, so I entered
sections like this into the mrtg.conf file:
Title[vlan10]: Bandwidth usage on tenchi.4th-age.com (Internet)
PageTop[vlan10]: <H1>Traffic stats on VLAN 10 (Internet)</H1>
Target[vlan10]: `ifconfig vlan10 |

Package request: php, pear: spreadsheet::excel::writer
Hello,
I am currently using this PEAR package to generate .xls documents in PHP;
http://pear.php.net/package/Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer
It would be very much appreciated if someone could add it to the
repository, as it is always to prefer rpm packages over manually
installed ones.

XFS on CentOS
Hi all,
Does anybody know why unlike so many Linux distros (Fedora, Ubuntu,
OpenSUSE) CentOS does not come with XFS support by default but rather
requires custom modifications after the install in order for you to be
able to support XFS on your CentOS machine? Just seems a little odd
given how much CentOS is oriented to be used as a server OS.
Thanks.
Boris.

XFS or EXT3 ?
There was a similar thread about which is the best FS for
Centos.
I'm using ext3, and wondered if XFS would be more 'data
safe' than ext3.
I had a 100GiB ext3 partition, and it took up 1.75GiB for FS
administration purposes. I reformatted it to XFS, and it
only used 50.8MB!
I now have a fresh new drive to install my root Centos
system onto, and wondered about creating the

XFS corruption reported by QEMU virtual machine with image hosted on gluster
Hello all! We are experiencing a strange problem with QEMU virtual machines where the virtual machine image is hosted on a gluster volume. Access via fuse. (Our GFAPI attempt failed, it doesn?t seem to work properly with current QEMU/distro/gluster). We have the volume tuned for ?virt?.
So we use qemu-img to create a raw image. You can use sparse or falloc with equal results. We start a virtual

xfs on 5.2 (live cd + dvd)
Hello,
I'm planning a server migration and being able to mount xfs file systems
with the live cd would be a cruical feature.
So before I download and try ... can anyone tell me whether the xfs is
included in the 5.2 live cd?
Later on I'm planning to install a new system with xen, 3ware 9550SX-4LP
and xfs. The xen domains are of course located on xfs partitions.
Do these features come

XFS corruption reported by QEMU virtual machine with image hosted on gluster
Hey Erik,
I am running a similar setup with no issues having Ubuntu Host Systems
on HPE DL380 Gen 10.
I however used to run libvirt/qemu via nfs-ganesha on top of gluster
flawlessly.
Recently I upgraded to the native GFAPI implementation, which is poorly
documented with snippets all over the internet.
Although I cannot provide a direct solution for your issue, I am
however suggesting to try

CentOS Install From Scratch on XFS File System
I'm thinking about switching to CentOS 4.4 x86_64 from another RH based
version. However, I need to install it from scratch and I need EVERYTHING
(including /boot & /) on XFS file systems. Does the default installer allow
this? If not, how difficult would it be to make the necessary changes. I've
done a lot of Google searching and searching of the CentOS site, but haven't

XFS corruption reported by QEMU virtual machine with image hosted on gluster
First a heartfelt thanks for writing back.
In a solution (not having this issue) we do use nfs-ganesha to host filesystem squashfs root FS objects to compute nodes. It is working great. We also have fuse-through-LIO.
The solution here is 3 servers making up with cluster admin node.
The XFS issue is only observed when we try to replace an existing one with another XFS on top, and only with RAW,

XFS in Druid
Hi all,
I've seen the XFS filesystem is not available in Druid partition tool.
?Is there some way to add XFS in normal instalation process? ?How?
Thanks in advance.
