I just want to set up a folder on my Linux 7.2 running samba 2.2.1a-4. I have looked at the smb.conf over and over. Cannot find out why my share is not showing up. I just want users on my domain to browse the network and read the folder. I am on an NT domain and the furthest i got was seeing the workgroup testgrp on my network neighborhood. This is a question before i go into production with my setup. Thanks everyone for the assistance i received while setting up Samba. I am going to have an AS/400 mount an NFS directory on my linux server and it is going to be constantly writing to this share. Also about 400 users are going to be connected to this same share through samba, accessing via windows NT. Has anyone heard of any issues

hi all, how do i mount usb laptop hard drive to a centos 4 box? this hard drive has 2 partitions: NT (winxp os) and fat32 for data. i'm unable to boot from it and i think NT partition is corrupted. i did try to connect to windows box, but i still can't get to fat32. any idea how to do this on centos box? i gave up on windows box. thanks, T. Hi all, I have a csv file containing words with *UNPRINTABLE ASCII* characters (described in the following table). Are there any viable method in eliminating these characters?
