MultiMarkdown and MathML - new feature and request for help
A lot of people have expressed interest in combining math features with Markdown, but I am not aware of any real developments from these requests. I was looking around and toying with [ASCIIMathPHP](http:// www.jcphysics.com/ASCIIMath/) and integrated it with MultiMarkdown and my xhtml2latex XSLT transforms. You can include math as an inline formula by using a markup similar to inline

MultiMarkdown Announcements
I know things have been quiet lately, but I wanted to announce a couple of MultiMarkdown related happenings: 1. I am in the process of creating a new website, and MultiMarkdown is one of the first things to be moved. The new address is <http:// fletcherpenney.net>. A new look, a new URL, some new technology, and some new content. I have not moved much from the old site yet, but

MultiMarkdown 2.0.b5 Released
I have released version 2.0.b5 of MultiMarkdown today. As always, it can be downloaded from: <http://files.fletcherpenney.net/MultiMarkdown.zip> Some of the changes include: * spaces at end of xslt filenames won't cause failure * use `\url{}` for "non-referenced" url's in LaTeX to allow linebreaks (though they still don't always break correctly --- this is a

Universal syntax for Markdown
Hi, because of the great editor "Writer" from Information Architects I've learned about Markdown and I love it. But it's very confusing, that there are so many standards with different features: classical Markdown, Markdown Extra, MultiMarkdown. I think for most users and the spreading of Markdown it would be nice, to have only one syntax. And this universal syntax should have

stack overflow
Hi, I've got a fileserver that runs Centos 5.2. It's been stable otherwise stable for maybe a year or more, and now it's crashed three times since Saturday. The first two times the computer was completely unresponsive, and there was nothing on the console, and nothing in the logs. I was beginning to suspect hardware, (esp. RAM, PSU, or maybe a failed fan) Last night it

markdown conversion routines
i am considering writing converters between my "zen markup language' and "markdown", but i don't know which version of markdown to target. i'd think it'd be the "pandoc" version, and i understand that to be closest to "multimarkdown", but gruber has said he "disagrees" with "almost every part" of multimarkdown's syntax

Overlaying images at nodes of phylogenetic tree
Can you recommend an R library that will help me create a diagram of a phylogenetic tree on which specific images are placed at appropriate nodes of the tree? For example, I have specific image files associated with each member of the phylogenetic tree, and I would like to automate the display of the image next to the correct node of the tree. I can provide an image file with an example.

Limit incoming calls
We have 2x BRI's connected to Asterisk which give us a total of 4 lines (using the bristuffed package). We would like to limit the number of incoming calls to 2 calls and if a 3rd call comes in, we would like this to go to another extension (voicemail or similar). Is this possible in Asterisk? attribute blocks for definition lists
Hello, As I am using markdown to write documentation, I am often tempted to make links to terms in definition lists. Since this is not possible for now (at least in php markdown extra), I was wondering if this could be a common addition in major implementation supporting definition lists. the syntax would be term {#id} : definition This syntax tries to follows current convention and

[LLVMdev] SolusOS 2 + Clang
Hello, my name is Ikey Doherty. I am the founder of the SolusOS Linux Distribution. With SolusOS 2 we have decided to create our own base from scratch, using the PiSi package manager. After many repository revisions, it soon become apparant that GCC (4.7.2 in this instance) is dog-slow. Out of pure curiosity I attempted to rebuild packages using Clang. Clang had been pulled in as a dependency

HFC cards and Asterisk
Hi all, In our asterisk box we have a Fritz card and an HFC card. So far I've had the Fritz card working well, but its time to connect the HFC card up to the ISDN line and get it working. I've followed the instructions on voip-info.org here: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+zaphfc+install and here: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+zaphfc+install But when it comes to
