I don't understand the 'order' function
I thought I've understood the 'order' function, using simple examples like:
order(c(5,4,-2))
[1] 3 2 1
However, I arrived to the following example:
order(c(2465, 2255, 2085, 1545, 1335, 1210, 920, 210, 210, 505, 1045))
[1] 8 9 10 7 11 6 5 4 3 2 1
and I was completely perplexed!
Shouldn't the output vector be 11 10 9 8 7 6 4 1 2 3 5 ?
Do I have a damaged

Build/install on Debian failed
After following https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_AD_DC_HOWTO, and
then setting up Kerberos following
http://techpubs.spinlocksolutions.com/dklar/kerberos.html, I found Samba
did not work. I have updated the source, rebuilt and rerun provision,
but can not see the local shares, but get

Printing from Windows to Samba takes a LOT of time.
Hi there,
I've a linux server (PII 233, 94mb ram) running Mandrake Linux 9.1 with an HP
printer attached to it.
I've configured the printer (I'm using CUPS) and it works fine. Next, I've
configured samba:

workgroup = MYWORKGROUP
security = share
log level = 2
printing = cups

Backing Up To Windows File Server
Greetings,
Working with dsync and setting up backups to a Windows file server.
Problem seems to be that Windows is renaming the dovecot mail files
(maildir) to Windows friendly filenames, and losing the Dovecot name.
For example,
1323817925.M36368P32049.triata.globalchangemultimedia.net,S=2255,W=2318:2,S
becomes 1AETPH~X.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to tell Windows to not do this?

Incorrect Cortex-R4/R4F/R5 ProcessorModel in ARM.td
In ARM.td, I see that the ProcessorModel for cortex-r4, cortex-r4f, and cortex-r5 (as well as r7 and r8) is based on "CortexA8Model", which seems incorrect. When this was added in 2015, there were also comments associated with this configuration, such as "// FIXME: R5 has currently the same ProcessorModel as A8" (later removed). The processor model for Cortex-r52 appears to

Error building network library on OpenSolaris and 1.8.1-rc1
Hello All,
I have been banging my head against trying to get asterisk to compile on
Solaris as well as OpenSolaris. I've tried to build various versions of
Asterisk as on various versions of Solaris and OpenSolaris to no avail.
Finally, I said, what the heck, I got the latest version of OpenSolaris that
(pkg image-update) could get and then the latest ver of asterisk I found on
the digium

netsock error? some sip clients crashing!
Hello
I have a weird behaviour with our local GSM (3G) provider -- several
SIP clients crash on the android phone, when switching to 3G network,
and in asterisks logs it looks like this - client registers on server
successfull and then crashesh immediately.
Here's suspicious part of asterisk log:

T38 trunk configuration for relay appears to affect default trunks for voip
Hi list!
I have this configuration for sending T38 faxes to my T38 fax termination
provider:
T38modem --> hylafax --> Asterisk-SIP-Extension --> T38 termination provider
--> T.30 termination to PSTN
We are experiencing 2 problems with this (if you want configuration files,
it won't be a problem, just tell me):
1. T38 termination provider receives faxes at 2400 bpps from our

Compile problem with 1.2 beta 1
Has anyone else got 1.2 compiled from cvs ? I've posted the question
below to the -dev list but got no answers:
1) No-one else is trying beta 1
2) No-one else is having any issues (I must be the idiot)
3) No-one else saw my message :)
I have been trying to compile 1.2 beta 1 on a centos 4 box, to no avail.
The "make" command seems to compile ok, but "make install"

NFS new security requirements?
Hi
I've suddenly lost access to some permanent cross-server shares.
I think this was following the Nov 5 new kernel, rather than the Centos version upgrade.
I don't see any difference to man mount.nfs
I have:-
[root at hs6 ~]# mount hs8:/data /sysback/hs8-data -v
mount: no type was given - I'll assume nfs because of the colon

CentOS5 and ipw2200
Hi all!
I tried to use CentOS5 on an IBM Thinkpad R52 which has an Intel PRO/Wireless
2915ABG Mini-PCI Adapter installed.
I downloaded the firmware from the DAG-Repo (afaik 3.0.0) and added a "alias
eth1 ipw2200" to modules.conf. After the module was loaded successfully
(including the firmware) I was able to configure the card.
For simplicity I didn't use any encryption. My
