Director+NFS Experiences
In our experience. A ring with more of 4 servers is bad, we have sync
problems everyone. Using 4 or less works perfect.

Doveadm Backup issues
Hi,
I'm trying to use doveadm backup but I'm having a few issues.
When trying locally:
`doveadm backup -D -A maildir:/usr/local/backup`
It results that no mailbox is separated by user - all seems to sync on
the same folder, messing up with the folder structure of the original
maildir.
When trying remotely:
`doveadm backup -D -A -N ssh -i mykey root at myremotebackup.com:/backup

Hi,
I'm running every week in cron "doveadm expunge -A mailbox Spam before

What do you mean by "iterate"? If you mean whether you can look up a
password entry in a multi-entry file, then yes, definitely. If you
mean to sequentially go through it and do a first/last/best match,

Removing specific entry in user/auth cache
Hi,
We have dovecot configured with auth cache. Is there any way to remove
a specific entry (not all) from this cache?

Exclude userdb from iterate users
Hi,
I have a system with various userdbs defined, mostly all of them based
on ldap (and a few passwd-files).
I want one of my ldap userdbs not to be used in "doveadm user -A"
commands, that is to be excluded in iterate searchs. I have no
iterate_filter neither iterate_attrs configured in that userdb, but it
is still used.
Is it possible? How?

I have created a directory /mnt/smb-test and am attempting to mount a volume from a NetApp Filer running OnTap 7 with NTFS security mode. An Active Directory DC handles security for the share. The Linux machine shows as registered in AD and I can use

AD across sites
Hi Guys,
Just need some guidance regarding AD across sites. We have two sites, siteA and siteB. Until about a month ago both sites were running NT4 domains, separate domains but with the same names, let's say thedomain. We classicupgrades siteA to AD and now need to migrate siteB to AD.
The sites are connected with a WAN link
We think ,the steps involved will be the following

Error: dict client sent broken reply
I've been mucking about, experimenting with the expire plugin and using a
dictionary. I've got the iteration query working when I do a normal
expunge using:
doveadm expunge -A mailbox "INBOX.Trash" savedbefore 1w
and expunging works as expected. However, I've got over 12,000 accounts
on this server, so I was hoping using the expire plugin to could help out.

Problem with ADS idmap backend
I'm running Samba 3.0.28a on a CentOS 3.9 box as a member of an AD
domain whose PDC is a W2k3 server (Standard x64 R2 SP2).
Using wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g I can see domain users and groups from
the CentOS box, but getent (passwd|group) fails to display them. The
nsswitch is setup correctly, as far as I can tell. When I tail -f the
samba log file during a getent query, I see that winbindd is
