Ubuntu 8.10 - Irfanview - no longer able to install or use.
DOS ".EXE" programs aren't "automagically" being opened by WINE, but with the "Archive Manager. I found this by Right Clicking on the Wine EXE file. This opens the "Archive Manager" as the default application, not "Wine Windows Program Loader" as it used to. I have confirmed this with the native 8.10 version and the latest WINE from Wine HQ.

Bug#639112: DomU access to dual-ported RAM area on PCI card fails
Hi David, Are the resources which you are trying to map from inside the domU correctly represented in the PCI device's BARs? I suspect that it would be worthwhile to try the Wheezy 3.2 based kernel in your domU. If this doesn't help then your best bet is likely to be to the upstream mailing list. Ian.

OT: permission denied when opening PDF docs with Acrobat Reader X potected mode
Hi, this might be off topic because it's not a samba problem, but might be interesting for others too. We are running an older samba 3.0.24 working as domain controller (no DFS features). When opening a .pdf file with the Acrobat Reader X from a WinXP SP3 client (maschine is member of the domain) the Acrobat Reader X shows a "permission denied". We see the following in the samba

[PATCH 00/10] paravirt: make amount of paravirtualization configurable
Today paravirtualization is a all-or-nothing game: either a kernel is compiled with no paravirtualization support at all, or it is supporting paravirtualized environments like Xen pv-guests or lguest additionally to some paravirtualized tuning for KVM, Hyperv, VMWare or Xen HVM-guests. As support of pv-guests requires quite intrusive pv-hooks (e.g. all access functions to page table entries,
