Bug#573210: tracedumps from vcpus when domU crashed
Hi, today I had catched one domU crash and taken tracedumps from xen vcpus, see attachment. Hope it could help. Today I've got some problems with clocksource so I've upgraded to last 2.6.26-xen-amd64 kernel from security so I'll confirm if problem occurs there or not in some days. -- Ond?ej Kunc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- spr?vce

Bug#573210: Workaround: Using 2.6.18 leads to whole server crash
Hi, this night one domU crashed, so I managed to try workaround from Pasi to use kernel from etch ... but I need 2.6.26 in dom0 (drivers for sata controller) and so that I changed kernel only for domUs to 2.6.18-6-amd64. With this configuration server crashed after ten minutes. It was totally frozen so I had to restore previous state, but now I don't know what to do now. It's

Btrfs_truncate ?
Hi list This happened when running an iozone test over ceph, it was doing lots of random reads. I have no idea how to properly interpret this, I should find it out. Determine ongoing shutdown via libvirt or preventing migrations to host
Hi list, Is there any function in libvirt to determine runlevel of host or any possibility to prevent VM migrations to that host ? I'm developing simple cluster of 4 servers running KVM VMs. For management I decided to use python-libvirt. It is working in that way, that every VM is diskless and booting via PXE so I can run it on every host server. Every VM has assigned one host as

Re: Determine ongoing shutdown via libvirt or preventing migrations to host
Hi Daniel, Thank you for your reply. I agree that runlevel is not directly related to VM management so it is OK, that it is not implemented in libvirt library. What about prevention of VM migrations, is it acceptable to just close migration port in firewall ? Thank you Ondřej Dne 10.12.2013 14:34, Daniel P. CentOS 5.3 SuperMicro x7sbi AHCI
Greetings, Wondering if anyone could assist with this. I have many SuperMicro 5015B-MTB servers. These all have the X7SBi Motherboards. After upgrading to CentOS 5.3 the Hard Drive LED's on some of the servers started blinking red(drive fail) but all is functioning normally. All servers are running raid 1 arrays with MDADM. Primary drive does not blink, but all others do including spares.

winbind + groups hogs CPU
I've been using winbind successfully for awhile now for user info (nothing in /etc/passwd), but today I tried to use it to pull group info, so I updated /etc/nsswitch.conf (RH 7.3) and then tried to add: valid users = @DOMAIN+group_name and now whenever I click on any folder (share) to open the cpu util goes up, and the connection hangs for awhile, and then eventually it times-out on the

SMB hogs cpu - printing freezes server
We have 2.2.7a running on redhat 9.0 with 256 MB ram. Dual cpus - but only PII 300's. Its not running as a PDC - the PDC is an nt box. The system is set up as our main print server with 60 odd print queues that service a wide variety of printers. Approx 200 odd windows pc's as clients. The print files themselves can be largish with multi-page docs with lots of graphics. What we are

Quota plugin rewrite
Backported from CVS HEAD to branch_1_0. You can get it as a patch from http://dovecot.org/patches/1.0/quota-rewrite.diff New features include support for multiple quota roots, so you could have eg. per-user quota and a larger domain quota (although no backend actually supports this yet..). The more important feature is that you can configure specific mailboxes to have a bit more space available

dovecot proxy, imapproxy, perdition . . . or?
Hi, I have two load-balanced dovecot servers using a single NFS mount. The version is 1.2.11. I chose this so that if one server goes down the other will take up the load, and if my load is too much for one server I just have to add more identical servers. It works, but I wish to move to SAN storage because the NFS server is exhibiting irregular performance. (I spent a lot of time with tcpdump to

Lenny how to compile new kernel
Hi! I need to have a modified entry for CONFIG_HZ in the Dom-U kernel. I installed Lenny, then installed the xen-enabled kernel linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-686 and also the sources (apt-get source linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-686). However, there is no .config file in this package. So make menuconfig starts with the default values. However, when I compile a new kernel with XEN enabled (and my new timer

BUG Dovecot 1.0.15 and Apples Mail.app
Is there anyone using Apple?s Mail.app to collect the mails via IMAP or IMAPS ? I found a funny bug in Debian Lennys Dovecot Version. (still v. 1.0.15) When I get my Mails via IMAP or IMAPS and define a Rule in Mail.app to move the eMail to s specific folder I will find the mail 2 times in the folder. After a minute or so the double Mail disappears. I have tried it with other programs like

Multiple quota roots
IMAP RFC defines a way to have multiple quota roots. For example with filesystem quota the first quota root would be "available disk space in filesystem" and second quota root would be the user's normal quota. I guess this could similarly be useful for example to have a per-domain quota (eg. 10GB) and each user have their own separate quota (eg. 1GB), so that 20 the users together
