Bug#516610: follow up
I just reproduced the "Early page fault", here is the error message:
(XEN) Early fatal page fault at e008:ffff828c801da4a2
(cr2=ffff830fb0dcdff6, ec=0000)
I omit the following stack dump, cause I'm typing this manually ;) But I
took a photo with my digital camera, if the info is important, I can
the provide the stack dump info..

adding xen support to grub2 got segfault running grub2-mkimage
There is some interest lately in making a self-contained grub2 boot image - call it pvgrub2, used for booting paravirtual domU in xen where a grub2 config is installed.
First attempt------------------
I first tried using the grub2*.src.rpm from the C7 vault.
I configured as shown belowhttps://blog.xenproject.org/2015/01/07/using-grub-2-as-a-bootloader-for-xen-pv-guests/
for headers, I used

Multiple grub2 Users with Passwords
Hello All,
I am trying to set multiple users with passwords for modifying grub2
menu entries at boot. I know I can set a "root" user grub2 password with
grub2-setpassword. I have also been able to make a grub2 user password
using the grub2-mkpasswd-pbkdf2 command and adding
??? set superusers="user1"
to the /etc/grub.d/40_custom file. However, I have multiple user

How to glue com32 module in grub2 ?
Hello Erwan and others,
I am running HDT from grub2 with memdisk. I have informed the success of
booting hdt to the grub2 list. Some developers are very much interested
to this issue and they are showing their interest to make a glue
between com32 and grub2 so that hdt can be loaded without memdisk. It
is really very exciting to have hdt as an inbuilt feature of grub2.
Could any one kindly

The case of the missing /boot/grub2/grub.cfg in centos8
So I installed centos8. And I was looking for the grub config file:
[root at testbox ~]# ls -l /etc/grub2.cfg
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 22 Oct 2 13:01 /etc/grub2.cfg -> ../boot/grub2/grub.cfg
[root at testbox ~]#
But
[root at testbox ~]# ls /boot/grub2/
grubenv
[root at testbox ~]#
Why is it not there? FYI, I did try 'yum reinstall grub2' and no
/boot/grub2/grub.cfg for me.

Chainload El Torito grub2 from syslinux from a partition table
Hello,
I have the following scenario:
- GPT Partitioned USB disk with syslinux (or extlinux) on the first
partition and a menu to boot each partition; all of them are iso9660
images of different linux distros,
- Before dumping every iso image into its partition space on the USB
disk I need to remaster it changing something on its initrd to be able
to coexist with other linux distros on the

My grub2-btrfs & yum-plugin-snapper
Hello Guys,
Last Sunday I had the idea to expand my gameplay btrfs. Now what was
missing was a yum plugin which worked like arch or opensuse. Ok, I told
myself and learned a little python. Also something for grub2 to boot
into a snapshot. My results are up on:

[PATCH 3/3] v2v: bootloaders: improve detection of Grub2 default method
Detect only once which method must be used to get and set the default
Grub2 kernel in the guest: this avoids the same checks in list_kernels
and set_default_kernel.
Also, add a "no method" option as well: Debian/Ubuntu guests do not have
neither grubby nor Perl's Bootloader::Tools, so there is no way to know
what is the default kernel, nor to change it. In this case, add a

PV-GRUB chainloading Grub2
Hey guys,
what I am trying to do is a chainload into grub2 installation in a DomU. So far I determined, PV-GRUB does not understand grub2''s grub.cfg notation. So I created a dummy menu.lst which has the needed root kernel and initrd rows and then referenced this to the DomUs config. The main intention to do this, is to be able to use kernel upgrades without touching the menu.lst for
