Convirt + CentOS 5
Hi There, I am currently running CentOS 5.1 with the RPMs that come with the "Virtualization" package and using the virt-manager gui. I really like the look of "convirt" (formerly "xenman") and was thinking of doing the following: - Compile the SRPMs for Xen 3.2 from source and install over top of the existing Xen (I have an x86_64 machine) - Use the

RODBC on Mac OSX pointers?
Hi, I'm trying to get to grips with accessing my postgresql tables in R using RODBC. I have Mac OS 10.2.8 (Darwin 6.8) installed and R 1.8.0 installed from source and I have updated RODBC to 1.0-4. On the ODBC manager end, I am using OpenLink software's iODBC Administrator and I've set up a User DSN called "PostGRES" - odbctest suggests that this is functioning: >

HFC-S ISDN cards in Xen3.0.3 DomU''s
Hi! I just wanted to ask if anyone managed to get "ordinary" HFC-S ISDN cards with the zaphfc driver running in a Xen3 DomU. I am referring to this post ( http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2007-04/msg00202.html ), which perfectly describes my problem and I am therefore going to simply copy-and-paste it here: ----------- snip ------------> Hi, I''m

Lab manager for Xen
Hi, [1] I have spent time learning Xen, as compared to Vmware. Is there an opensource tool for managing the various Xen domains both locally and remotely ? It can be commandline or GUI based. VMware has a Lab Manager. I am looking for something similar (or superior) for Xen too. [2] Redhat has the virt-manager. And allows us to connect the hypervisor to local host and remote host. How does that

ioemu in config file and O_DIRECT option
In config file, ''*type=ioemu*'' is added with vif . Does it make the difference if we don''t add. Because i did not notice any difference in para as well as full virtulization. Same as in case of exporting the disk to Guest dom. Is it just a placeholder or else ? Second thing, I am running RHEL3 as a HVM DomU on xen-3.0.4. Every thing works fine, but i had a problem to

[PATCH] Handle ISO_Level3_Shift keysym as AltGr in ioemu/vncfb
Hello, The modern (xkb) way of mapping the AltGr key (113) seems to be using the ISO_Level3_Shift keysym (0xFE03) instead of the obsolete Mode_switch keysym (0xFF7E). This patch let the "keysym to scancode" translator handle the ISO_Level3_Shift correctly, enabling the use of characters like ~#{[|`\^@]} on a french keyboard. Regards, Cédric diff -ur

ioemu and gplpv having different view of the same block device???
I have found something a bit strange about the way windows is behaving, but I''m not sure if it''s Xen related or not. Basically, the process is this: 1. Copy new driver directly into c:\windows\system32\drivers\xenpci.sys 2. Reboot (or shutdown then xm restart) 3. Windows runs with the old version - pre the copy. The old version is absolutely nowhere on the harddisk. Repeat

Bug#393609: xen-ioemu-3.0-unstable: Wrong location of /etc/xen/qemu-ifup prevents HVM domains to boot
Package: xen-ioemu-3.0-unstable Version: 3.0-unstable+hg11561-1 Severity: normal When trying to create an HVM domain with vif settings enabled (as default) qemu-dm fails to start the virtual machine claiming that the tap device cannot be found. This is because qemu-dm tries to execute /etc/xen/qemu-ifup which is instead located in /etc/xen/scripts/qemu-ifup. As a side note qemu-dm seems to be
