Bug#437127: xen-utils-common: vif-common fails to identify ip address of ethernet device
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal On my systen, the script vif-common fails to retrieve the primary IP address of my ethernet device, preventing a domU from starting. I tracked this issue down to the file /etc/xen/script/vif-common. The function ip_of uses the following shell code to extract the address: ip addr show "$1" | awk "/^.*inet.*$1\$/{print

Bug#437127: Info received (xen-utils-common: vif-common fails to identify ip address of ethernet device)
Anything new here? The bug still perisists and is quiet annoying, especially when considering the simplicity of its fix. On a side note, vserver-debiantools had a similiar problem which got fixed within 2 days (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=539448), while the faulty line of shell code still resides in vif-common after 2 years and several confirmations.

Hi, I am getting the following error in the server mail logfile: > Sep 2 18:39:44 h648123 dovecot: IMAP(<account>)(<PID>): Disconnected: BUG: Unknown internal error (mail_debug is on, but there is not really much context for this in the log file, ie. no log events for several minutes, and then it appears, all of a sudden). Keywords (labels) support via virtual folders
Hi all, while I am rather a beginner when it comes to IMAP, I was thinking whether it would be possible (and feasible) to implement setting and unsetting of IMAP keywords with the means of virtual folders in Dovecot. The background is that the IMAP keywords seem to be a very useful thing to me: I would often like to be able to 'tag' a message so that it is easy to group with

imap process consuming 100% CPU (Dovecot 1.0.3)
Hi, I have yet another problem with Dovecot: sometimes (rarely, maybe once every few days) one of the imap processes will 'hang', consuming all available CPU time. It does not seem to 'finish' in any reasonable amount of time (in one instance I waited a few days). This process will not even exit gracefully, it needs to be killed with 'kill -9 <PID>'. It has

smtp_address_cmp does not ignore case of localpart
Hi, in src/lib-smtp/smtp-address.c line 759 the localpart is compared with null_strcmp, which does not ignore the case. While this is the correct behavior (according to the RFC) it causes problems in real life. In my case the vacation notices are not sent, if someone writes to First.Last at ruhr-uni-bochum.de because :addresses contains (only) first.last at ruhr-uni-bochum.de. Regards,

vif-route script not getting domU-IP (vif-IP)
Hi, I''m using the XEN 3.4.1-pre4 Hypervisor in Routet Mode and I''m facing some problems when I start the DomU. In detail, it means that the DomU IP-Adress will not be implemented in the Kernel routing table after starting the domU via "xm create /<path +configfle>" After making a "netstat -nr" it will not show the IPadress bound to the
