Bug#423006: Workaround OK
Hi. FYI, the proposed workaround in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=420754#5 helps solve the issue. I've patched /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hook-functions, then issued : mkinitramfs -o /boot/initrd.img-2.6.18-4-xen-686 2.6.18-4-xen-686 After that : the lib/ in the initrd image contains the libcrypt.so.1 lib ... As to know why sh needs libcrypt.so... it seems weird to me

Dead keys on Wine
Hello, I use wine (release 20010824) for Lotus Notes R5 and sometimes Winzip. It works fine with some customizations and in desktop mode instead of managed window mode. My problem is that I am French and I cannot use dead keys which is very annoying with french language. For example a 'e' with a circumflex accent is usually obtained by typing successively '^' and 'e'. In

Bug#433780: xen-utils-common: /etc/init.d/xend restart should restart xenstored and xenconsole
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal There should be a clean and clearly defined way to restart all the Xen daemons in the case of error. If the file /var/lib/xenstored/tdb is corrupt then you must stop xenstored, rm the file, and then restart it. Currently there is no defined way of doing this so the solution is to kill -9 the process, rm the file, and then reboot. --

several Filled.contour plots on the same device...
hello - a question about filled.contour plots, for which i haven't found a response in previous posts - sorry if already treated. i'd like to draw several filled.contour plots (that is, maps) on the same device (a postscript file, actually). I know about layout(matrix) , split.screen or par(mfrow) : it works well for simple plots, but with filled.contour plots, i get several pages

Bug#597403: xen-utils-common: need to run restorecon in /etc/init.d/xend on SE Linux systems
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.0.0-1 Severity: important After running modules_setup you need to have the following line: [ -x /sbin/restorecon ] && /sbin/restorecon -R /dev/xen The reason is that the module load causes the kernel to create device nodes in the devtmpfs. This bypasses the udev code for labelling the device node and results in xenstored being unable to access

masq and snat
Hi! Progress is much better now with my new install with not many problems left! I just have a simple - I hope - question. I have a few users that need access to the net via masquerade rules. The rest have to go via squid on the firewall. That all works well. I also have two windows servers that also need access to the net but they have to each use a specific outgoing ip address. I add two

complex; ifb, masq et omnia
Hi all. I''m using Jamal''s ifb virtual interface from new kernel. Redirecting incoming traffic from external interface like that: # tc [blahbla] match u32 0 0 flowid 1:0 action mirred egress redirect dev ifb0 to ifb to shape it. The problem is that I''m using MASQUERADE by netfilter also. That redirected traffic coming from internet gets to ifb _before_ DNAT is done.
