Bug#413181: xen-3.0: should build-depend on e2fslibs-dev and libreiserfs0.3-dev
Package: xen-3.0 Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal Hi, Currently, ext2fs and reiserfs pygrub modules are not necessarily built because setup.py can't find ext2_fs.h and reiserfs.h when e2fslibs-dev and libreiserfs0.3-dev are not installed. xen-3.0 should hence build-dep on e2fslibs-dev and libreiserfs0.3-dev Samuel -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT

Bug#404533: missing fsys python modules for pygrub, and pygrub doesn't work
Package: xen-utils-3.0.3-1 Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal pygrub can't work with this package, because the fsys filesystem modules included in the source package are missing. As a workaround, I downloaded the xen-3.0 source package, went into tools/pygrub/src/, installed e2fslibs-dev and libreiserfs0.3-dev, ran "make", and copied stuff from

Bug#402974: xen-utils-common: xen domain do not always shutdown
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal Tags: patch When shutting down xen domains with '/etc/init.d/xendomains stop' most of the time not all domains are stopped when the script finishes. As it turns out the xendomains-script queries running domains by executing 'xm list', this command replies its usage info sometimes instead of giving proper output. I

These machines have failed to start automatically when I booted the host machine, and I just recently found out why. During shutdown, I was messages like this: Error:

Broken pygrub in xen-3.0
I have recently discovered when trying to configure a new domU that pygrub is completely broken. That is, the missing Build-Depend on e2fslibs-dev in xen-3.0 causes the ext2/3 python module to not be build. Consequently, using pygrub fails miserably since the filesystem cannot be read at all by pygrub. Additionally, it is apparently not possible for pygrub to find its library directory without
