Using a .img to store a domu...problem with virt-install
Before I begin let me preface by saying I am a beginner so please excuse any foolishness on my part. If you follow this link http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+xen/virtinstall ; you will see that there is supposedly an option for virt-install (--disk) where you can specify what you want to use as the disk for you dom0. For very specific reasons I need to use to have this as a .img

Xen source [signed]
I just also wanted to mention that I have the current released
source tarballs downloaded and placed at
http://people.debian.org/~jbouse/xen/ at this time. As the only way to
get the source tarballs I've found is via bittorrent unless you want to
give your email address I'll continue to keep the the current tarball
located there.
That is one thing that I noticed about Ralph's

install FC 3 kernel on DomU with Ubuntu as Dom0
Hi
I have installed Xen on my Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 as Dom0.
I want the Guest OS DomU to have a FC3 kernel and need to install the
packages for FC 3 on it. I have two howto''s in front of me one for
debian over ubuntu and one for fc over fc. In the ubuntu howto the
bootloader is installed using debootstrap and in FC howto its done
using yum . My prob is yum doesn''t work on Debian .

domU boot stuck at "Freeing unused kernel memory: 148k freed".
Hi,
My Xen 3.2 does not boot. Its stuck at "Freeing unused kernel memory:
148k freed". I used a FC8 distribution from jailtime.org.
My kernel is built using make KERNELS=

blkfront: sda2: barriers enabled
netfront: Initialising virtual ethernet driver.

Extraneous kruft [signed]
Looking through the build files I'm wondering if we can't do some
clean-up and remove extraneous kruft before we release. Like the
config.dbs and the README.build that talks about the config.dbs. From
looking through the build setup I don't see either file actually
critically needed and looks like Ralph may have come to a similar
conclusion by the comments added to the README.build

Multiple Questions: Xen4CentOS
Hi,
Trying to get a handle on the 'not included' aspects of Xen4CentOS.
Anyone care to share their experiences with xm vs virtinstall vs virt-manage. Currently I'm running one xm create config to launch a CentOS cd based kickstart install, then I use a second xm create config to run the created systems.
Thoughts on pvgrub and running unmodified kernels from within the pv guest. Is

Xen Dom0 with FibreChannel (FC) can''t export disk to DomU
Hello all,
I have a problem with Xen and FibreChannel.
The Dom0 can''t export a Disk on a FibreChannel SAN-Box to the DomU''s.
In the DomU configuration I try:
disk = [ ''phy:/dev/sdb1,/dev/sda1,w'' ]
or
disk = [ ''file:/mnt/sambashare.img,sda1,w'' ]
sambashare.img is a 512MB great Diskimage on a Partition on the FC-SAN-Box,
the Dom0 mount this

which can terminate a 56K call *digitally*, results in my being able to
make a 56K connection from most modern cities here in the US, without

Building release source DEBs [signed]
I've been working on a buildrelease.sh script to call hg2dist.sh,
export debian/ from svn and run dpkg-source for me. When I ran
dpkg-source I noticed that it gave warnings regarding the *.dpatch files
being chmod 0755 is there any reason to maintain this within the
repository or would 0644 suffice and remove these warnings from dpkg-source?
Regards,
Jeremy

[LLVMdev] git Status Update?
I believe the concern here is concentrating on how owning devs + others
conduct incremental patch reviews in conformance with the current LLVM/svn
based practice. IMHO any automated approach, such as your suggestion, would
have to incorporate this concern, while simultaneously not forcing core devs to
temporarily stop their current LLVM work in favor of learning a new review process,
and
