HMV + linux no network interface
Hi, I have installed xen 3.0.3 on gentoo 2006.1 The machine is a laptop with amd turion x2 ML-60. I can boot into xen, xend stars normally. When I try to boot a linux livecd using HVM, there is no network interface (I used several different linux distributions). It''s not a driver problem, since the hardware is not even listed on dmesg log. While booting the livecd there is a message :

Xen 3.1 in unstable?
Hi, I just happen to see that there are no Xen 3.1 packages in unstable as of yet - even if 3.1 is released since a while now. There are the Packages in Ralph's apt repository, but I wonder why there are no newer packages yet. This shouldn't be criticism, but two questions come up: 1) Is the reason that there are no newer packages that you need some more help? Then I might be able to

using physical disks with HVM
Hi, As a previous thread in http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-06/msg01111.html tells, it should be possible tun run hvm domains with a physical disk. There where other threads about this, but no solution for my current problem. When I try to use a disk defined as disk = [ ''phy:data/faitest-client-generic-hvm-disk,ioemu:hda,w''] (The device is a lvm

using Ubuntu's dom0 xen support for kernel >=2.6.24?
Hi, After the discussions of the last week about the topic of dom0 support, and being fairly sure there is no working solution in any distribution, I've been shown a working dom0 with Ubuntu, with 2.6.24-20. I actually did not believe this would work, and stated I'd not believe it until seeing it - and I saw it some minutes later, Ubuntu 7.10 booting dom0 with 2.6.24-20. No idea what

Xen and ACPI Sleep
Hi, I am currently testing Xen on my laptop and was wondering if there was any way to enable ACPI sleep so that I can resume sessions when I''m on the go. Is this possible? If so, could you please highlight how to achieve this? Thank you. -- Mathew Brown mathewbrown@fastmail.fm -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Access all of your messages and folders

ctrl-c doesn''t work in domU consoles
Hey, I''ve installed Xen 3.0 on a freshly installed Debian Sarge. dom0 is working nicely (kernel 2.6.12.6-xen0). Then I created a domU, again with Debian Sarge, booting Xen''s vmlinuz-2.6.12-xenU. Unfortunately ctrl-c does not work in the domU''s console, neither if I create the domU with "xm create -c ..." nor if I attach to it later. It doesn''t matter

Package: xen-utils-3.0 Version: 3.0.2+hg9681-0bpo1 Severity: important Disclaimer: I'm using the packages from www.backports.org here (in the box where the problem manifested), but I've seen that it happens too with the packages straight from sid. Bug#374395: FTBFS with GCC 4.2: cast from pointer to integer of different size
Package: xen-3.0 Version: 3.0.2+hg9681-1 Your package fails to build with GCC 4.2. Version 4.2 has not been released yet but I'm building with a snapshot in order to find errors and give people an advance warning. The bug below is in your package though and not because I'm using a snapshot of the compiler so please take a look at it. You can reproduce this with the gcc-snapshot

Problem with 1.2 and sieve: failed with unsuccessful implicit keep
Hi, First, thanks for this awesome piece of software. I've just upgraded to latest dovecot, aka 1.2. I've a problem. I've started using Sieve, and everything works fine, I already received a thousand of mails without any problem. However, there's one mail which is stuck in the postfix queue because of that: Jul 8 18:47:51 prometheus dovecot: deliver(jd at danjou.info):
