Bug#608715: Recent hardware components render the xen-hyervisor unusable, fails completeley to boot due to kernel panic
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64 Version: 4.0.1-1 Severity: grave Tags: squeeze upstream Some newer hardware components (it is unclear what exactly causes the issue) render xen-hyervisor unusable as it crashes immediately after boot for the Debian out-of-box configuration. This results in a system rebooting all over again if the hypervisor is choosen as default stanza to be booted by grub

[PATCH] rhv-upload: Handle any error in NBD handlers
Currently we handle only HTTP errors like getting unexpected response code from imageio server. However if we could not send the request, or some other error is raised, we failed to mark the handle as failed, and finalized the transfer in close(). This may fool virt-v2v to create a VM with an empty or partially uploaded disk. Decorate all the NBD hander functions with a @failing decorator,

Bug#648029: xen-utils-common: /usr/lib/xen-common/bin/xen-toolstack (and thus /usr/sbin/xm) works with bash, but not dash
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.1.2-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable (Grave because dash is the default /bin/sh) With dash 0.5.5.1-7.4 as /bin/sh, /usr/sbin/xm enters an infinite loop of reexcuting itself. When run with bash, it works correctly. I traced that to /usr/lib/xen-common/bin/xen-toolstack; here's the diff between "/bin/sh -x /usr/sbin/xm"

NIS, PAM, OpenSSH. Seems to work perfectly (one minor concern)
I just spent some time trying to figure out how to get OpenSSH to work correctly with NIS and PAM. It seems to work fine, apart from one minor worry I still have (see below). Feedback about grave security risks are welcome :) This is using RedHat 6.1 with updates and the OpenSSH 1.2.2p1-1 RPM's on the NIS server as well as the client. In short, my configuration is: /etc/nssswitch.conf:
