Where to get 3.0_3.0.2+hg9646-1 ?
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-xen-devel/2006-April/000462.html The above url hows 3.0_3.0.2+hg9646-1 being accepted, but http://pkg-xen.alioth.debian.org/ shows 3.0_3.0.2+hg9611-1 as the latest .deb, and https://alioth.debian.org/project/showfiles.php?group_id=30894 shows 3.0.2+hg9629 patches. xen 3.0.0 on CentaurHauls VIA Samuel 2
Was on irc for a bit and I''m looking for confirmation that Xen 3.0.0 will or will not work on a C3-II CPU. Found this thread: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2004-03/msg00088.html Which seems that Sean Atkinson created a fix and patch back in March 2004 http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2004-03/msg00119.html But the box below $ cat /proc/cpuinfo

Pristine 2.6.16 kernel fails to build with hg9646 patches
Not sure if this is a pkg-xen issue or for the debian kernel people, trying here first since the patch I applied is created from the pkg-xen project % apt-get source xen-3.0 % cd xen-3.0-3.0.2+hg9646/ % make mkpatches % cd /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.16 % patch -p1 < ../linux-2.6-xen.patch % cp ../config-2.6.16-1-amd64-k8 .config % make-kpkg --append-to-version -1-xen-3.2.0-d0 binary

Using functions within functions (environment problems)
Hi everyone, I've been having difficulty writing wrapper functions for some functions where those same functions include other functions with eval() calls where the environment is specified. A very simple example using function lmer from lme4: lmerWrapper <- function(formula, data, family = gaussian, method = c("REML", "ML", "PQL", "Laplace",

The new LVM in 6.3+ has integrated raid at an LV level, you just have to declare all

Xendomains always broken for me, nobody else?
Hi All, Everytime I upgrade to a new version of Xen (just did 4.2.1 this weekend) I find the xendomains script completely unusable. I use xl exclusively and the behaviour is slightly different to what the script appears to be expecting. Am I the only one that has this problem? I have an Ubuntu 12.04 based Xen server and a Scientific Linux 6.3 based server and both suffer the same problem. I am

Unable to open a particular share.
Hello everybody, we have a strange behaviour since a BDC was rebooted. We have an infrastructure were one big Samba server is defined as a PDC, and a few others servers are defined as BDC. This infrastructure is deployed in a school, so we have the PDC and one BDC for each section of the school (college, elementary school ...). Most of the clients computers are Windows XP, and the servers

Mixed dom0/domU usage?
Hi, I'm wondering about the impact of using both dom0 and domU's on a server at the same time. I'm worried about the performance impact of running a Mysql server in a domU and now I'm thinking about moving the Mysql part of a LAMP setup into dom0 and running a few Apache guests as domUs. Since the Apaches will serve mostly from an NFS share they won't have much impact on

Country numbering plan resources
Is there any good free / accurate online resources with detailed country numbering plans? Failing that let's get something running ourselves. I was also thinking maybe people present could contribute some information on this list for now. The countries I am after are below. To start this off I will provide the information for Australia +61 and New Zealand +64. NZ Cellular: area code 21

Bug#402974: additional info
could it be that the bug is rather fixed because you increase the number of characters cut checks for the domain name? You mix in your patch some complex logic to determine stuff with the minor change of setting these characters up to 40. It is a known, but still unfixed bug in Xen upstream that they only cut the first 14 characters, and if your domain has a name like server-nameserver-test,

Help with complex lme model fit
Hi R helpers, I'm trying to fit a rather complex model to some simulated data using lme and am not getting the correct results. It seems there might be some identifiability issues that could possibly be dealt with by specifying starting parameters - but I can't see how to do this. I'm comparing results from R to those got when using GenStat... The raw data are available on the
