About libc/tls
Hello, I asked Aurelien Jarno from the Debian glibc team about our /lib/tls problem. It gave me a little help: # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) # touch /etc/ld.so.hwnocap # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) I think this could help us. -- Julien Danjou .''`. Test version of the glibc with xen flavour
Hi all, I have built a test version of the glibc with a xen flavour. It is available on http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/xen/ . The only difference with the version currently in sid is the presence of the libc6-xen package. If you are using xen, please test it and tell me if it fixes speed problems. If everything is ok, I will commit it into our SVN. Bye, Aurelien -- .''`.

libc6-xen not used on AMD Geode LX system
Hi, I'm trying to install xen+Debian Etch on a Geode LX system. Xen boots fine, but although the package "libc6-xen" is installed I have a large number of such errors: 4gb seg fixup, process syslogd (pid 1878), cs:ip 73:b7f24610 All processes triggers it, and from what I've found on the web it's a sign that libc6-xen is not recognized. Are we there yet?

About hotplug/udev
Hello, The current dependancy on hotplug|udev (>= 0.59) seems bad. As far as I remember, last week, when I tried to install Ralph packages, I got an error from hotplug/udev and I had to use udev from backports.org Anyone know which version of udev/hotplug we will have to depends on ? Maybe we could simply rely on a recent udev dependancy, because afaik udev now provides hotplug. -- Julien

[PATCH] ppc64: ELFv2: Load TOC value in system call stub
This fixes a segmentation fault in the system call's error handling path with dynamically-linked binaries on PowerPC64 little endian. The system call stub wasn't loading up r2 with the appropriate TOC value in its global entry point. The r2 setup code comes from the FUNC_START macro in gcc [1] and an equivalent one can also be found in the LOCALENTRY macro in glibc [2]. On the ELFv2 ABI

Permanent flags not announced and public mailbox with per-user index
Hi, I've a set of public mailboxes that all users can access. The index is stored per user, so each user can mark the message as read for themselves. This is with dovecot 1.2.10. However, when selecting the mailbox, system flags are not announced as permanent but only as session flags: 3619 SELECT "public.Admin" * FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft) * OK
