Bug#355364: logcheck-database: rules to match nagios|nagios2
Package: logcheck-database
Version: 1.2.43a
Followup-For: Bug #355364
sorry but the previous patch was wrong
the rules has to match both nagios: and nagios2: (and NOT nagios[...]:)
so the pattern is
nagios[2]*:
(instead of nagios\[[0-9]+\]:)

Bug#514335: logcheck-database: Nagios rules don't match the new nagios3 version
Package: logcheck-database
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
The rules in /etc/ignore.d/server/nagios contain the explicit version number "2".
Now that lenny includes nagios3, those rules don't work anymore.
Please change the rules to work for both nagios2 and 3. That can easily be done
by replacing the 2 by (2|3) for example.

Bug#290195: violations.d/sudo and violations.ignore.d/logcheck-sudo missing sudo log entries
Package: logcheck
Version: 1.2.32
Severity: normal
It seems when someone runs a sudo command on my system, logcheck misses
it.
The second line of /etc/logcheck/violations.d/sudo matches them, but
the /etc/logcheck/violations.ignore.d/logcheck-sudo kills them.
Furthermore, when users run commands like '$ sudo rm *' in a directory
with lots of files, we reports with lines like:

Package: logcheck
Version: 1.2.41
Severity: wishlist
Hi folks, thanks for your work maintaining logcheck, it works well.
When my users read their mail using imap (usually via squirrelmail,
not sure about other clients) I get a message like this in the log:

/etc/cron.daily/sysklogd restarts syslogd at the end of the script.
This causes a daily log message, currently missed by logcheck:
