nut-scanner, SNMPv3, APC UPS not chatting
I'm trying to get SNMPv3 management working for an APC AP9617 card. It is
newly refurbed, running sumx v3.7.2 and aos v3.7.3.
In the SNMPv3 user profiles section I have (I don't care about the password
leaking, it's temporary):
User Name: nut
Authentication Passphrase: NutScan at Password43LongerWord
Privacy Passphrase: NutScan at Password43LongerWord
Authentication protocol:

ices 0.3 on FreeBSD
I have successfully compiled Ices 0.3 on FreeBSD (4.7 and 4.9).
You need to make sure that ALL the dependicies are installed (some depend on
others) and when compiling them, that they compile with no problems.
<p>Include some output of what errors you are getting and I #should# be able to
help you on your way.

Looks like the nutscan-snmp.h file has not been checked into the branch:

I tried setting them all with -x thing= arguments as well as letting it
pull from ups.conf, same result. It's all SNMPv3 settings.

SNMP shutdown timing out
I'm in the process of trying to get NUT to manage an APC SmartUPS.
Monitoring of the UPS is working fine:
$ upsc nutdev1 at localhost
Init SSL without certificate database
ambient.1.humidity.alarm.high: 60.00
ambient.1.humidity.alarm.low: 30.00
ambient.1.temperature.alarm.high: 40.00
ambient.1.temperature.alarm.low: 10.00
battery.charge: 94.00
battery.charge.restart: 0
battery.current: 0.00

Fwd: [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
I meant to send this to the list but evidently only sent it to David.
Since sending it I've done a second test which shows what a successful
snmpset looks like.
First attachment, from the forwarded email, is nutout.txt. Second
attachment is snmpout.txt.

RFC Eaton serial scan
?Hello,
I would like to merge branches/serial_nutscanner to the trunk. The attached patch contains the needed modifications.
You can read docs/man/nutscan_scan_eaton_serial.txt to see what it is about and docs/man/nut-scanner.txt to see modification to nut-scanner tool interface.
This adds about 100K to the libnutscan.so file.
Regards,
Fred

Windows port
Hi!
I would like to ask about current state of Windows port. Is it frozen? It will be cool to know the plans :)
Where are a lot of Windows-branches at GitHub. What is the most actual one?
The Windows builder looks like turned off, am I right that it is not available currently and where were no builds after version 2.6.5-6?
I couldn't find any info about proper environment to build Windows

system command and Perl confusion
Hello,
I'm having a question related to the system command within R: I try to
evoke a perl script from within R with something like
system(paste('perl myscript.pl', some parameters ....,sep=" ")
This works just fine as long as I do not use any additionally installed
Perl module, as this leads to a
"Can't locate Statistics/Descriptive.pm in @INC ....."

[EXTERNAL] nut-scanner, SNMPv3, APC UPS not chatting
Just a hunch about your snmpwalk, what happens if you format like this?
snmpwalk -l authpriv -v 3 -u user -a MD5 -x DES -A authpassphrase -X privpassphrase {host address}
so
snmpwalk -l authpriv -v 3 -u nut -a MD5 -x DES -A NutScan at Password43LongerWord -X NutScan at Password43LongerWord apcups
Thank you,
David Zomaya

amd64 installworld fails on syscons/scrnmaps
Hello,
I have an amd64 laptop on which I did a fresh csup to RELENG_7. I did
the canonical "buildworld", "buildkernel", "installkernel" and so far
so good.
However, when I attempt to "installworld", I get:

[nut-commits] svn commit r1296 - in trunk: . clients drivers server
Arjen,
Wow, that was quick... Thanks! (It was taking me a while to sort out
all of the different CFLAGS settings; hence, the tracker item.)
I would take issue with the following assertion in Makefile.am:
"In any case, CFLAGS are only -I options, so there is no harm."
since this is what got us into trouble in the first place... but I
guess that was there before you edited it as

Seems to be a mismatch between the Net-SNMP package and your current compiler:
configure:7857: checking for Net-SNMP version via net-snmp-config
configure:7863: result: 5.6.1.1 found
configure:7866: checking for Net-SNMP cflags

[LLVMdev] Problems building LLVM 2.2 for ARM
Hello,
I'd like to do some initial experiments with LLVM on embedded ARM
(Nokia N800), but ran into a build issue. Could s.o. give me a tip?
Thx alot,
Tobias
P.S.: just as sidenote, LLVM 2.2 builds cleanly on GCC 4.2.3 / Linux.
