Adding power devices support to OCS Inventory NG
Dear OCS fellows, I've been thinking about working on adding power devices knowledge to OCS for years. Following the last Ubuntu Developer Summit, I know have an "excuse" to do so: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/servercloud-p-cloud-power-management My below proposition is related to the above blueprint. So please keep in mind that the target is also to be able to

on Ubuntu Developer Summit (Oneiric), NUT and 2.8.0
Fellows, I've been caught by real life, and didn't find time to share / discuss this with you. I've been attending UDS Oneiric, from May 9 to 13 in Budapest, and had a chance to present and complete some ideas around NUT: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerOneiricInfraPower The end target is to have NUT ready to address infrastructures, both static like data-centers and flexible like

[RFC] add device.country to NUT variables
Hi there, while doing some housekeeping and improvements on usbhid-ups, I realized that the country information is needed for some advanced features processing, like Eco control and nominal values enums. This would also be interesting to expose to the user. I thus propose to add the following: |======================================================================== | Name |

[RFC] Rename peakcurrent to current.peak

A more coherent name would be "current.peak", as used in Greg's patch (well, in the metasys driver to be precise). For the time being, only the upscode2 driver is using "peakcurrent". But as told, metasys is already using "current.peak". So I'm going to

RFC: adding new data "ups.efficiency"
Guys, we (Eaton) have created a new data to expose efficiency of the UPS (basically it is the ratio of the output current on the input current). I know that at least APC should also provide it on some units, since I've seen evidence in an EPA presentation [1]. So I'd like to create the following new data: - Name: ups.efficiency - Description: Efficiency of the UPS (ratio of the output
