nut files empty
I just installed nut in Debian and all of my files are missing. I'm not even sure what all files are required. I hope someone can give me the list of the files and I can create them. Also if there is any pertinent info I need. Thanks

Adding PDU support to NUT
I've recently been working a bit on adding PDU (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_distribution_unit) support in NUT. Some of you might have seen the Powerman thread, which also deals with adding more PDUs support: http://powerman.sourceforge.net/supported.html The result is that we now have support for 2 Eaton | Powerware ePDUs (Managed and Monitored iirc, check http://www.epdu.com). I plan

early shutdown of VMware VMs
I'm new to NUT, but didn't find a clear answer to this either in the recent "ordered shutdown" thread or in Google: How to shut down VMWare guest virtual machines earlier than the host machine they run on? (For example, if everything normally shuts down at 5% UPS battery, then the VMs should shut down at 10%.) I also read upssched.txt but I can't tell from the early

format problem in driver.list*
In r2124 of branches/AsciiDoc (haven't checked where else this is), it looks like we have two duplicated columns. See diff below. This results in the model name showing up in the driver column of the HCL. How is driver.list regenerated from driver.list.in? Do I just need to re-run autoreconf to get the rules up-to-date? Or is this converted manually for the time being? diff --git

Selftest intervall, APC Smart-UPS 750 RM
Hello I recently switched from apcupsd to NUT2.2.2 without any troubles. I tried to figure out how I can configure the self-test intervall. The command upsrw lists only the variables battery.charge.low battery.runtime.low ups.delay.shutdown ups.delay.start The command usbhid-ups -D and the listing under http://obsvermes.org/cgi-bin/nut/upsstats.cgi?host=apcsmart at localhost&treemode

In most cases, syslog will already prepend a timestamp, so this is probably redundant.

Powerware USB issue solved (bcmxcp_usb)
Hi Greg, Thomas and the list, I've not forgotten you nor your issue. It just took some time to gather a "faulty" unit and a bit of time to reproduce your issue. The good news is that I've commited a fix to the NUT development branch (aka Subversion), in the release r2015. The bad news is that your test and feedback is welcome ;-) For more info on getting and compiling the

Layout of AsciiDoc-based NUT webpage
Arnaud, one thing that bothers me a little bit about the new CSS webpage layout is that the NUT banner at the top obscures the text in the top portion of the page. This is not too much of an issue until you click on a link within a document, and the browser scrolls to that anchor. Most of the time, the destination of the link will be hidden behind the NUT banner. Can we make the banner scroll

consolidating the NUT documentation on permissions, hotplug and udev
Arnaud et al, I have been meaning to collect some of the documentation updates for permission-related errors, and I was wondering if you would mind if we moved the scripts/udev/README and scripts/hotplug/README files out of scripts/ and into the docs/ directory (probably docs/permissions.txt). We could also cover the *BSD /dev/usb* permission issues there, as well. Any thoughts on this? -- -

Status of nut snmp SUBagent
Hi!. I recently installed NUT on my servers to monitor a Eaton Ellipse UPS. Now I'm planning my next step: Monitor the UPS status with cacti using snmp. I see that there was a nut snmp subagent (I'm not talking about the nut-snmp driver) (http://www.networkupstools.org/server-projects/). But the current link doesn't work (404). I haven't found anything about it in the web. ?Is
