SNMP on HP UPS
Hi, I would like to contribute code to make the SNMP driver compatible with HP's AF401A UPS module. It is also compatible with HP's older SNMP modules. It's just a new mib specification plus the necessary changes to snmp-ups.c Several sources have told me that these UPSs use the cpqpower.mib, but comparing that mib at http://www.snmplink.org/cgi-bin/nd/m/Ent/H/Hewlett

ietfmib.h patch and query
Here's a patch (against 2.2.2) which adds battery.temperature to the ietf-mib snmp driver. While looking at ietfmib.h I noticed that the value for IETF_OID_IN_LINES is actually that for upsOutputNumLines.0. Does anyone know whether that's deliberate or a typo? -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: not available Type: application/x-patch

CPQPOWER-MIB - nearly there
I have attempted to create cpqpowermib.h for the snmp-ups driver. We use HP UPSs and version 2 of the firmware for their AF401A management cards use the CPQPOWER-MIB. I have attached my current attempt (which builds and almost works against nut 2.4.1). Once all is working I'll send in the finished article for consideration. This file is based on ietfmib.h. There are a couple of issues

snmp-ups hacking
Hi all! I'm wondering if there's anyone doing any hacking on the snmp-ups driver at the moment. I've started looking at implementing 3phase-support, and this uncovered some rather unpleasant stuff in the snmp-ups driver that I really need to fix in order to get things sane. Those of you that's allergic to SNMP might want to stop reading now, this is rather icky ;)

HP/Compaq Rackmount UPS Support?
Hi, I have an HP R5500XR and a Compaq R3000XR that I would like to use with nut. I searched the compatibility lists and the mail list archives but couldn't find anything. They both have 9 pin serial ports. Can anyone give me any information about them, and if they are supported by nut? Thanks, Denny Fox

RNG in R
Hi, I'm working with a programmer on translating code I wrote for a simulation in S into FORTRAN. Since the S source code is not available, I decided to use the random number generator (RNG) in R. The problem is that the R code is complex enough that we can't isolate the proper source files to include. Although we can link to the C code and call the RNG, we haven't been able to find

ssh feature - ignore colon in host name
sorry if this has been discussed and rejected before, I'm new to the list, I did google but didn't find anything. -- quite often I use ssh and scp within a few minutes, so I might do this... scp myfile user at host.example.com: ssh user at host.example.com it would make life a lot easier if I could type scp myfile user at host.example.com: ssh !$ or sometimes I simply copy

Updated mirrorlist for 4.9 in vault?
I have just tried to update to 4.9 a system that was installed from a 4.8 local repo. Because 4.9 has been moved to vault, as described by Johnny in http://www.linux-archive.org/centos/638644-centos4-rhel4-upstream-effective-eol.html, the mirrorlist file basically contains invalid information. http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=4.9&arch=i386&repo=os To avoid the faff of having to edit
