Nut : Version: 2.2.1-2.1ubuntu7.2
Hello,
I choose the megatec driver and I connect through a serial cable. I receive
a "This UPS has an unsupported combination of battery voltage/number of
batteries" message.
I know this is not an error but I don't really what I have to do next.

UPS (Megatec) with strange voltage values
Hello Nut List!
I have 2 "Lacerda 10KVA" UPS that returns strange values for Q1 and F
commands:
Q1
(215.0 215.0 219.0 004 60.0 2.27 39.0 00000001
F
#220.0 045 240.0 60.0
At least what I know about Megatec, It seems to say that it has a 240.0 V
battery with currently 2.27V. Quite strange.
I contacted Lacerda to help me interpret this values and they said that 2.27
is just 1 element

Trying to fix "Unsupported combination of battery voltage / nr. of batteries" error
Hi, everyone,
I've recently bought a UPS from Mecer. This is a South African brand
that basically resells Mustek hardware, and this UPS is no exception;
it's a Mustek product. It does come with software for Linux, but that
is terrible (the background process that monitors the UPS is written
in Java and needs a terminal to start properly, so you can't run it
from a startup script...

Some question about megatec vs. powercom
Hi folks!
We have a Powercom Vanguard 6000 running here. It seems to be supported by the megatec driver within nut. So I get everything out of it exept the battery status. When I run Nut, it says:
Megatec protocol UPS detected [UPS Model 6K Ver Y1.3].
This UPS has an unsupported combination of battery voltage/number of batteries. The "battery.charge" value will be bogus.
So I would

megatec driver floods syslog with "UPS lost/re-established" messages
Hello,
I have bought Powerman Optima 500 Plus UPS. While this
product might be unknown outside Russia, it is shipped with
megatec software and obviously works with megatec driver in
NUT. besides the following problems (I think they are
caused by one reason):
1) megatac driver is able to load and detect UPS only on
second or third run. On the first run it typically fails.

More info about Unitek UPS not working with Megatec driver
Hi again,
I tested several times using the Megatec driver from nut 2.2.2 to no avail, as
it definitely never "sees" the UPS. Always getting :

REGRESSION: New "megatec" driver does't work for UPS that was managed by old fentonups driver
Hi there,
A couple years ago, I had patched the "fentonups" nut driver to allow it to
work with my Unitek Alpha 500 UPS.
My patch had been accepted and incorporated in the standard fentonups driver.
I have had no time to stay involved in the "nut" project since (and besides
this I'm not a developper...).
2 days ago I upgraded from Ubuntu Gutsy to Ubuntu Hardy and got

energizerups and bestups -> megatec?
Hi!
I don't know how I missed it before, but "bestups" seems to implement
mostly the same protocol as megatec. Is anybody out there using this
driver willing to try "megatec" to see if it works?
AFAIK, the only difference seems to be the command that gets the UPS
identification data ("I" on "megatec", "ID" on "bestups"), but

could you please give a try to blazer, since it is set to replace megatec
with 2.6.0.
Arjen will quite probably comment on your patch usefulness within the blazer
scope.
thanks for your contrib.

megatec driver and usb-to-serial converters
Hi all,
Currently, the "megatec" driver only supports UPSes which have a
serial (RS232) interface.
However, I'm under the impression that most of the models that speak
the megatec protocol, and have an USB interface, just have a standard
serial-to-USB converter inside. This being the case, there should be a
"/dev/ttyUSBx" device which the megatec driver could use just as

megatec and some changes to cmdvartab and new-names.txt
I had some free time this weekend, and made some long overdue changes
to "megatec". The thing is, these changes lead to a couple of
questions that I must ask before I go on and "svn commit" them:
1) The blazer, fentonups, esupssmart, ippon, sms and mustek drivers
are now completely covered and all of their functionality should now
be present in megatec, and also every model

success report with megatec and Belkin F6H650UkUNV (was: Success report with network UPS tools)
Hi Andy,
I've forwarded your info to the development list, and Carlos Rodrigues
(the
megatec driver author and maintainer.
As a side note, there is a megatec_usb driver underway. You might
want to give it a try.
@Carlos: I let you update the drivers.list.
Thanks for your report,
