More info about Unitek UPS not working with Megatec driver
Hi again, I tested several times using the Megatec driver from nut 2.2.2 to no avail, as it definitely never "sees" the UPS. Eaton / MGE Ellipse MAX 600 USBS and nut
Hi there, I've replaced yesterday my old UPS with a brand new "Eaton Ellipse MAX 600 USBS". I've choosed the Eaton (previously MGE) both because I've always been extremely satisfied with MGE UPSes of all kinds at work, and because of the involvement of MGE (with Arnaud) in nut development, which made me quite sure that I would have no trouble with an Eaton (MGE) UPS and

nut mailing-list user by spammers
Hi, FYI, I started receiving spam to the email address I use only for this mailing-list, about one week after I posted a couple messages onto it. So the nut mailing-list is definitely used by spammers for email addresses harvesting :-( -- Michel Bouissou <michel at bouissou.net> OpenPGP ID 0xEB04D09C

[PATCH] fentonups patch to make it work with some powercom ups's
Hi list here is the patch to make fentonups recognize some PowerCOM's UPS's, and to setup terminal lines for them (at least for SMK-1500a) as powercom's original upsmon do. fentonups -x powercom works correctly with SMK-1500a (it screamed ''Communications with UPS lost - check cabling' or 'Short read during UPS id sequence' without this patch). Sorry for

fentonups driver patch for Effekta MHD3000 UPS
Hi ups-devel, As I looked throw www.networkupstools.org site, haven't found any pointers where to send patches, so I hope this is the right place. (Please let me know weather this is the right place.) The patch contains a minor change in the logic of the driver, our Effekta MHD 3000 UPS continuously writes status data to the serial port, so one has to send a CR character and empty the

RE Fentonups driver - FreeBSD 6.x
Hi Stefanos, you should mail to the NUT list, and try the megatec driver, which is only available from subversion for the moment (but should be included in the next stable release). Carlos might give you some help with this driver. Megatec - modem control lines
Carlos, Today I was browsing through the NUT Tracker and noticed an entry which linked to a message on nut-upsdev: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-January/000559.html Although the fentonups driver is no longer in the tree (since it was replaced by the megatec driver), I think there is still some merit in this patch. Notice the following lines from this message: >

nut-2.0.5 megatec + Online Xanto
good new first: the megatec driverin 2.0.5 now works with the Online Xanto S3000R here - well, for the very basics. the UPS has NO way ofidentifying itself. It also does not respond to the power ratings query ("F"). I previously used a hacked up fentonups driver. This means the driver cannot figure out the battery voltage and thus no battery charge level, which is a problem in our

megatec and some changes to cmdvartab and new-names.txt
I had some free time this weekend, and made some long overdue changes to "megatec". The thing is, these changes lead to a couple of questions that I must ask before I go on and "svn commit" them: 1) The blazer, fentonups, esupssmart, ippon, sms and mustek drivers are now completely covered and all of their functionality should now be present in megatec, and also every model

Re: F6H500ukUNV working with fentonups driver
After trying the 'powermust' driver I can confirm it works well with the F6H500ukUNV ups from Belkin. I reported my tests but by accident posted them directly to Carlos and not the mailing list (sorry Carlos). Anyway brief summary of the powermust driver with the F6H500ukUNV; Detects Online state. Reports the Battery charge correctly. Detects On Battery State. Detects Low Battery State.

Energy efficient UPS - anybody?
Hello, i`m looking for a nut-compatible low-power UPS (need to hook a home-server+dsl equipment with a load of ~50W to that) which should be as energy efficient as possible and be also affordable. i currently have an older powerwalker which constantly burns ~15W for nothing. The transformer inside getting that hot that you don`t like to touch it and i think 15W out of 50 is a little bit high

Missing GPG sig for nut 2.2.2. sources
Hi again, The PGP sig for 2.2.2 is missing from http://eu1.networkupstools.org/source/2.2/ (so the corresponding link from the download page is broken). Also, for the record, I'm trying to compile 2.2.2 from sources and so far, on my Ubuntu Hardy system : - If I don't use during configure "--without-snmp", compilation crashes talking about some undefined things. - If I use
