CyberPower DX600E in error
Hi everybody, I recently bought a UPS Cyber Power DX600E ad I'm trying to manage it through Nut under FreeBSD. Unfortunately, usbhid-ups returns an error when I do: [root at berkelium /usr/local/etc/nut]# /usr/local/libexec/nut/usbhid-ups -u root -DD -a onduleur Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.34 (2.4.1) USB communication driver 0.31 debug level is '2'

need help explain the routine input parameters for seROC and cROC found in the R archive
Please help. I found the code in the archive. The author of this script says: "The first function (seROC) calculate the standard error of ROC curve, the second function (cROC) compare ROC curves." Can some one explain to me what are the na, nn and r parameters which are used as the input to the following two functions? Thanks much in advance. > From: Bernardo Rangel Tura >

driver for Elite 2005 500VA
Hello, I've just finish a new driver for the Nitram UPS Elite 2005 500VA (compiled and tested with nut-2.0.1 and nut-2.1.0). Currently, all Nitram UPS are made by CyberPower, but the protocol is different than cyberpower.c. I don't have other model to test with, but I think this driver could monitor all Nitram 2005 UPS. I don't have the protocol specifications and thus some parts

How to compare areas under ROC curves calculated with ROCR package
Dear all, I try to compare the performances of several parameters to diagnose lameness in dogs. I have several ROC curves from the same dataset. I plotted the ROC curves and calculated AUC with the ROCR package. I would like to compare the AUC. I used the following program I found on R-help archives : From: Bernardo Rangel Tura Date: Thu 16 Dec 2004 - 07:30:37 EST

About Mcneil Hanley test for a portion of AUC!
Dear all I am trying to compare the performances of several methods using the AUC0.1 and not the whole AUC. (meaning I wanted to compare to AUC's whose x axis only goes to 0.1 not 1) I came to know about the Mcneil Hanley test from Bernardo Rangel Tura and I referred to the original paper for the calculation of "r" which is an argument of the function cROC. I can only find the

Test version of the glibc with xen flavour
Hi all, I have built a test version of the glibc with a xen flavour. It is available on http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/xen/ . The only difference with the version currently in sid is the presence of the libc6-xen package. If you are using xen, please test it and tell me if it fixes speed problems. If everything is ok, I will commit it into our SVN. Bye, Aurelien -- .''`.

How to compare areas under ROC curves calculated with ROC R package
I might be missing something but I thought that AUC was a measure for comparing ROC curves, so there is nothing else needed to "compare" them. The larger AUC is the higher correlation of 2 variables compared. No other measures or calculations are needed. UPS don't reset
Debian sid package v. 2.6.4-2.3 UPS nitram elite 2002 700VA (serial port) MOBO A7V8X-X ================================ Hi list, Everything work fine, except after an AC supply shortage: the UPS don't come back to a normal behavior, it stays on battery (of course, it works right w/o any cable). Is there something I can do recover a normal behavior? JY -- Too much of a good thing is

removing cpsups
I've just noticed that cpsups isn't listed anymore in driver.list. Any reason not have removed it from the source too? Still on the way to 2.4; any update on your confidence level to remove nitram and cyberpower too? -- Arnaud

Unable to run Watchtower Library 2007 Japanese : font ?
Hello, I was using both version of WTLib 2007 (French and Japanese) under Unbuntu7.10 and Wine 0.9.47 and it worked fine with just an installation of VCRedist and some japanese fonts in windows folder. But recently i moved my system to the new Ubuntu8.04 with the last version of wine : 1.0 RC1. I read that i don't need to install vcredist and font anymore. It's supposed to be a platinum

Meaning of LND/neterrors ?
Hello I''ve noticed that Lustre network error, especially LND errors, are considered as maskable errors. That means that on a production node, where debug mask is 0, those specific errors won''t be displayed if they happened. Does that mean that they are harmless? Do upper-layers resend their RPC/packet if LNDs report an error? When, in my case, o2iblnd says something like

[PATCH V4 0/2] xenbus: Fix S3 frontend resume when xenstored is not running
Hi, This patch series fixes the S3 resume of a domain running xenstored and a frontend over xenbus (xen-netfront in my use case). As device resume is happening before process resume, the xenbus frontend resume is hanging if xenstored is not running, thus causing a deadlock. This patch series is fixing that issue by deferring the xenbus frontend resume when we are running xenstored in that same

Problem subsetting: undefined columns
Dear R-users, -I am new to R, and I am struggling with the following problem. -I am repeating the following operations hundreds of times, within a loop: I want to subset a data frame by columns. I am interested in the columns names that are given by the rows of another data frame that was built in parallel. The solution I have so far works well as long as the elements of the second data frame

Group several variables and apply a function to the group
Dear R-experts, I am struggling with the following problem, and I am looking for advice from more experienced R-users: I have a data frame with 2 identifying variables (comn and mi), and an output variable (x). comn is a variable for a company and mi is a variable for a month. comn<-c("abc", "abc", "abc", "abc", "abc", "abc",

Status of cyberpower driver
Arjen, I read the following in the upgrade notes and just wanted to see what the status was for the cyberpower driver? The note reads: - The cpsups and nitram drivers have been replaced by the powerpanel driver, and removed from the tree. The cyberpower driver may suffer the same in the future. What does this mean to me -- a cyberpower user? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Rankin Law

About libc/tls
Hello, I asked Aurelien Jarno from the Debian glibc team about our /lib/tls problem. It gave me a little help: # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) # touch /etc/ld.so.hwnocap # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) I think this could help us. -- Julien Danjou .''`. [LLVMdev] Pointer functer analysis
Hi, I am new to the LLVM project, and from what I have heard It can be used to performed static analysis on a source code. I would like to know if it is possible to extract the different function call through function pointer (find the caller function and the callee function) in a program. I could find the kind of information in the website so it would be really helpful if you could tell me if
