Plugin auto_complete
Hi all ! I began to develop Rails applications with Aptana Radrails under Windows. For that I had successfully installed auto_complete plugin and succeeded to use it. Now I have an iMac and I''m trying to restart my developments under OS X. My problem is: when I run the command ''script/plugin install auto_complete'', the result is: Plugin not found:

Cheap PoE switches/injectors?
I'm trying to spec out hardware for a new office, and I'd like to include power over Ethernet as an option. I've seen a handful of PoE injectors around $1000 for 24 ports and a couple switches up around $2500 for 24 ports. Are there any cheaper options, short of buying a boatload of 1-port injectors off of ebay? I don't really need more then 24 ports of PoE out of 48 total

[LLVMdev] XOR Optimization
Hi- > I haven't seen a machine in which OR is faster than ADD nor more energy-efficient. They're all done by the same ALU circuitry which delays the pipeline by its worstcase path timing. So, for modern processor hardware purposes, OR is exactly equal ADD. Transforming ADD to OR isn't strenght reduction at all. Maybe this is benefical only if you have a backend generating circuitry

UPS compatibility list
So where does this leave things regards Eaton and shut down? Has anyone managed graceful shut down from an Eaton unit with either of the ushhid or bcmxcp drivers? Perhaps I should be coming at this from the other end of the stick. What manufactures have the best support in NUT that I can look at and be confident I'm likely to have a successful deployment? Really the only deal breaker

Generally speaking, the UPS will signal when it reaches a low battery state, regardless of whether the UPS publishes runtime statistics, battery percentages, or any other

VAD Questions
Hello all: I am interested in using Speex for an application that streams audio from a (noisy) source, so I am interested in VAD and DTX operation. However, after browsing the archives of this list, I note that a number of people have not been satisfied with the operation of the VAD algorithm in Speex. This leads me to a few questions: - Is there a reference somewhere (other than the source

Hellllp Pl: Centos 4.4 Default LVM install boot/recovery problem
Hello all Nill experience with LVM. Have a Default Centos 4.4 install updated till a week ago with three HDDs. System's not booting up since my staff pulled out the plug due to a short circuit nearby. Machine is a PIII 550 MHz, with 3 HDDs 40 GB, 120 GB (Actually is bigger but my bios detects only upto 120 GB) & 20 GB...about half filled with data & the backup server taken out in

Richcomm Serial driver
Hi, I'm trying to configure my ups with nut which is a locally made one. It uses a rs232 port to talk to the computer and comes with a software called "Powermanager Lite" which is provided by Richcomm and supports Windows, Linux and UNIX. According to the manual it uses the Richcomm circuitry to talk to the computer and uses a drycontact protocol. Unfortunately I couldn't

ignorant question about Digium cards and MeetMe
So historically I've done one of two things on systems where I've needed to use MeetMe * used a real Digium card, and I've only ever used a TE400 or a TE420 for that purpose, and I know they have the timing chip * used dahdi_dummy, which works well with light load, but I had it running on a very overloaded server and had audio quality issues. I may have had quality issues even with a

diff question, Belkin F6C100-4 this time
Greetings all; I pulled a Belkin F6C100-4 into the shop this afternoon, deader than a door nail. Out of service for about a year because (I'm assuming here) that the cooling fan stopped and cooked what little remaining life there may have been out of the batteries, which had swelled so badly I had to split its frame to get them out. They are also in the under 1 volt per 12 volt pack

R for Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial , Civil, etc.)
Hi useRs, In trying to take R to engineering undergraduate students, I have been looking for context that would make R more accessible to the said audience. Though R is primarily a statistical tool, I would want to demonstrate the use of R for certain engineering courses (Design of Machine Elements - gear design, ball bearings, etc.) which would generate interest in it and provide students a way

smartd and smartctl
A few weeks ago, one of my servers started complaining, via smartd, that one drive had one unreadable sector. I umounted it, and ran an fsck -c, then remounted it. Error didn't go away. Now, what's really annoying is that I've gotten back to it today, and it's reporting the problem, as it has for weeks now, every half an hour. However, when I run > smartctl -q errorsonly -H -l

Fenton PowerPal 660 strange reading and issues...
Hi There, i have a strange problem with a fenton powerpal 660. When you switch off the power to the UPS (from the wall), the server (IBM xSeries 203) attached to it dies...However, if you unplug the cable from the server to the UPS and plug it back in again (with the power still out to the UPS), the server starts up again (set to power up after a power failure) and runs with no issues. I have

I would like to offer my help.
Hello, Nouveau devs! I would like you to know that I have a laptop with 2 Geforce GTX 285m cards on board in an SLI config, I know the SLI part is not relevant at this point, but I still would like to offer my rig for testing single card configs. If you want to walk me thru what you need me to do, just shoot me an email. Matthew Kolar

TDM400P, fxotune and ADSL filters - Just a FYI, FWIW
This may be commonly known but I haven't come across it so here goes, maybe it'll help someone: I have terrible echo with asterisk 1.2, zaptel 1.2.12, and a TDM400P with 1 FXS and two FXO modules. The Mark2 echo canceller with Aggressive turned on was the only setting that would make it acceptable. I found fxotune with this zaptel version to be broken. I pulled the latest fxotune.c

tuning an x100p in Australia for echo cancellation
I have an x100p which suffers from echo (no surprise there apparantly :), and a few of the things I've read about tuning out echo say the first thing to get right is the tx and rx gain, and for that you need a few different types of test lines from the telco (Telstra, Optus, whatever). Does anyone have any numbers in Australia for such lines? I think they just need to send out a tone of a

Trying to fix "Unsupported combination of battery voltage / nr. of batteries" error
Hi, everyone, I've recently bought a UPS from Mecer. This is a South African brand that basically resells Mustek hardware, and this UPS is no exception; it's a Mustek product. It does come with software for Linux, but that is terrible (the background process that monitors the UPS is written in Java and needs a terminal to start properly, so you can't run it from a startup script...
