Hi Al,
I'm currently not much available, so I've fwded your mail to the nut list...
You might get more reactivity this way...

Tripplite Smart 2200 and Battery Voltage
For my Smart 2200, a charged battery string is anywhere between 25.6 and
26.8 volts. I'm seeing nut report 13.0 volts, which seems suspicious. Even
if the UPS were reporting half of the actual battery voltage to keep
protocol compatibility with models having a 12V battery system, the value
of exactly 13.0 seems unlikely.

no, but some details for those who will read it, maybe ;-)
I have SUSE 10.0 and an MGE Ellipse. I installed the NUT package from MGE.

about the 2.0.5 release
fellows,
I'm preparing the 2.0.5 release (as always, the Christmas release).
I just wanted to be sure:
- everybody's in sync (Carlos, IIRC you had some megatec things underway?!)
- that the brief NEWS message fits everybody (analyzing the real diff
between the Testing+trunk backport and the last trunk backport over
Testing was a mess).
Since I'm on vacation for a week as of next

APC UPS: replacement battery always triggers shutdown
Arnaud,
I was finally able to get back to this issue and would recommend adding these items to the FAQ #37 about recalibrating the UPS:
1a. It's important that the UPS be at 100% charge before starting the procedure; starting at lower will not work at all, not just produce inaccurate numbers.
? ? ? [I started the procedure when the UPS was at 91% charge. After that it would never report

Tripplite SU2200XL
Can anyone help getting a Tripplite SU2200XL to work with nut 2.0.3
using the supplied serial cable? Starting the ups service yields:
Starting tripplitesu: Network UPS Tools - Tripp Lite SmartOnline driver
0.02 (2.0.3)
Unable to detect Tripp Lite SmartOnline UPS on port /dev/ttyS0
I also have Tripplite's PowerAlert 12 software installed and when run it
finds the UPS without a problem. So

Nut-upsdev Digest, Vol 88, Issue 22
?Hello everybody,
just a few notes to the doxygen X man issue:
1/ AFAIK doxygen can generate man pages, so why don't
we just generate them and decide then whether they
are ill fitted or usable...
2/ I'd definitely use doxygen when possible; I mean I don't
know any alternative that's able to do (at least partial)
validation of the documentation with the source
