Dear list, I would like to know it is possible to test the significance of a loess ; in other words, I would like to know if the loess I got is significantly different from a linear model. Thanks. Aurélie Coulon. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

upsmon/upssched on ups temperature
Hi All, I was wondering what people are doing to shutdown their equipment based on the temperature NUT grabs from a UPS? It doesn't appear that upsmon(8) has an appropriate notify event for temperature levels. For the time being, it looks like I'll write a simple perl wrapper around upsc to get ups.temperature, but would love to use something natively from NUT, if possible. Also,

NUT does not recognize Effekta MT 1500
Hello everybody, this is my first post to this list - normally I take some time to read some messages first to get an impression of the List, but I have a pressing question to ask, so please forgive me if I miss the right tone... I just installed NUT 2.0.2 and try to get it working with our Effekta MT 1500. In the Drievers List I found this entry: "Effekta" "MI/MT/MH"

newhidups, usb permissions and Debian
Hi all, I've tried installing NUT from both the Debian packages and the 2.0.4-pre1 source but I'm unable to sort out the USB permissions when using the newhidups driver and an APC XS series UPS. In each case, I'm able to run newhidups as user root but running it as user nut fails: --- as 'nut' # /lib/nut/newhidups -u nut -a apc1 Network UPS Tools: New USB/HID UPS driver 0.28

I hope the information is enough that somebody can help me to compile the source. Thanks a lot. PS: A lot of thanks to all developers of FLAC. Its very useful to me!! ------------------------------------------------------ This

Make Samba 4 as Additional DC to Windows Server 2003R2
Hi, I did upgrade the server to Windows Server 2008 R2 along with AD. However, when I attempt to add Samba-4 as additional domain controller, it is able to provision the Domain and starts to replicate the data. However, while replicating, it throws up an error as shown below and stops. Samba-4 will remove itself being additional domain controller. I tried this migration using Samba Version

NUT 2.x causes uhci-usb error messages in syslog.
Hello, For a while I have been running NUT 2.0.0 just fine with my APC Back-UPS RS 800 using the usbhid interface. I decided to upgrade to 2.0.2, and all went well (upsc and upsd/upsmon seem happy to talk to the UPS), but I am getting a ton of these messages in my syslog: Jul 6 17:12:45 yggdrasil kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 780 Jul 6 17:12:50 yggdrasil kernel:

SUSE 10.0 and MGE Ellipse
Greetings Arnaud and others, I've been using NUT with Gentoo Linux for a couple of years now. I recently installed SUSE Linux 10.0 and I'm having difficulty getting it to recognize my UPS (MGE Ellipse). I tried the MGE-PSP package, but the GUI crashes immediately on startup. I decided to get just NUT running correctly before worrying about that. I uninstalled MGE-PSP and am left wtih

Powerware 5110, SuSE10.1 & USB
Dear Nutters, I am trying to get NUT as supplied with SuSE 10.1 working and I think I have a USB problem, possibly due to some missing startup scripts concerning permissions. The machine sees the USB device as per /var/log/messages: Jun 5 16:28:27 silver-server kernel: usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7 Jun 5 16:28:27 silver-server kernel: usb 2-1: new device

New Tripplite UPS: INTERNET350U
Hello Charles, Thank you for your suggestion, however it didn't help. I was running it as root but I went ahead and added the -u root anyways. Nothing changed. So part or all the problem is that I don't have the "libhidups or libhid.usermap" files that the man page talks about: You also need to install manually the legacy hotplug files (libhidups and libhid.usermap,

newhidups... at last.
Hi Arnaud, hi all I wish you all the best for 2006. Enjoying of some less stressed time, I follow your advice, Arnaud, to switch our UPS management on the newhidups driver. ( Enfin ! ;) Our goal is to support (soon) the new MGE ASR ELLIPSE ( and of course also the old ELLIPSE and EXTREME models ). I rebuild the libusb-0.1.10a packages to conform to our installation process. I perform the same
