AEC frame size
?
hi all,
i am using the Acoustic Echo Cancellation from "Speex 1.1.12 version" in my VOIP application. Is it that the frame length to be chosen should always be 20ms or can i have flexibility in chosing the frame lenght?
on what parameters does the frame length choise depends?
thank you all,
Shri.

Problems with stereo data
Hi all,
I have a problem when I am encoding (or decoding) stereo audio.
With mono data, things are fine and everything works without any problems.
When I try to decode stereo data, all I get is a static sound - similar to that of a radio not tuned to any specific station. I wonder what might be wrong?
Below is the code, first, of the encoder and next that of the decoder. Any information or

[RFC PATCH v1] Decode(float) optimize using libNe10
Hello All,
I extended the libNE10 optimizations for float towards
mdct_backwards/opus_ifft.
I am able to get about 14.26% improvement for Decode use
case now on my Beaglebone Black. Please see [1] for measurements.
Questions
1. Since this patch needs to go in after Encode [2] patch)
should I submit this as patch series?
2. Since Jonathan Lennox posted intrinsics cleanup [3]
patch, should

Hi all,
Please a moment to look my source code, this is very similar to example of
the documentation. I added FIXED_POINT flag. My source code compile and
build but not decode correctly (the error may be in the while). I work with
eVC 4.0 and pocket pc 2003. Someone know what is the error?
Thanks.
Rodrigo.

[RFC PATCH v1] arm: kf_bfly4: Introduce ARM neon intrinsics
Hello,
This patch introduces ARM NEON Intrinsics to optimize
kf_bfly4 routine in celt part of libopus.
Using NEON optimized kf_bfly4(_neon) routine helped improve
performance of opus_fft_impl function by about 21.4%. The
end use case was decoding a music opus ogg file. The end
use case saw performance improvement of about 4.47%.
This patch has 2 components

Puppet custom functions and user permissions
Puppet custom functions and user permissions
I am busy writing a custom function to automatically add OSSEC agents
to a OSSEC server after installation. Unfortunately, it seems that
puppetmasterd is not respecting the entries in /etc/group in linux. No
matter how many other groups the puppet user has been added to in /etc/
group, when puppetmasterd runs the custom function the effective/real

problems decoding speex... please help
Hi all. I'm trying to decode speex using version 1.1.10's libspeex with
fixed_point enabled. copied the sample in the manual (1.1.11) with minor
revisions. While running the program, encountered this warning:
"Packet is larger than allocated buffer : 38"
when calling speex_bits_read_from (&bits, cbits, nBytes)
then my program terminated unexpectedly with errors (Unhandled

Why does this code not generate a valid opus file?
Hi.
I assume that I am deeply stupid and have missed something obvious, but why does this bare-bones code not generate a valid (If trivial) opus file?
Running opusinfo I ge the following which I interpret this to mean that not even the first packet gets a pass:
New logical stream (#1, serial: 1f0cce42): type opus
WARNING: Could not decode Opus header packet 0 - invalid Opus stream (1)

Evaluate function on a grid
I have a function in R^2, say
f <- function(x,y) { ...skipped }
I want to plot this function using contour, persp. wireframe, etc. I know
that the function has a global
minimum at (x0, y0)
The naive approach is to evaluate the function on the outer product of two
arrays, like this:
sx <- c(seq(-3, x0, len = 100), seq(x0, 3, len = 100)[-1])
sy <- c(seq(-3, y0, len = 100), seq(y0, 3,

[LLVMdev] changes to raw_fd_ostream
I'm getting seemingly odd SegFaults when writing out using a
raw_fd_ostream in the current trunk (last version worked, believe it was
153818, or similar). Again, nothing in the release notes... should I be
scanning the svn log?
For example, I have something like:
raw_fd_ostream fout("out.txt", errorStr="");
....
fout<<"Hello World, how are you!"\n";
