Belkin and newhidups (was: Belkin F6C550-AVR UPS)
Zaid, I have a Belkin F6C800-UNV which has both a serial and USB connector. The serial connection is already working with the Belkinunv driver. I will connect via the USB and then compare both sets of variables. This should allow me to correlate and shed some light on the meaning of many of Belkin's non-standard "Usage" descriptors. With this information, it should be very easy

Belkin USB UPSes
I just bought a pair of Belkin USB UPSes -- F6C1200-UNV and F6C550-AVR -- and installed the latest version of nut under Ubuntu 7.04. I'm using the F6C1200-UNV. My system does see the device; dmesg says [ 82.718428] usb 2-2: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2 [ 82.941189] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 83.036825] usbcore: registered new driver

Belkin F6C750-AVR Nut Driver for Linux
Hi Everyone, I am new to UPSs and Linux.? I purchased a Belkin F6C750-AVR UPS for our church.? We are?running CENTOS 5.2. Belkin 800VA Universal AVR doesn't warn about battery
Hi, I'm currently using a Belkin UPS ( http://www.belkin.com/au/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=137904) with nut, and my notify script doesn't receive a low battery warning. I receive ONBATT and ONLINE, but not any battery low message. I've run upsmon -D and I've seen it polls the ups.status property. The problem seems to be that this UPS doesn't put LB (I guess that

[Bug 209001] [NEW] Nut no longer functions with belkin usb avr
Carlos, is this bug a known regression of 2.2.1 vs 2.2.0? I can't find much in the ChangeLog. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209001 thanks, -- Arnaud

Belkin F6C1100-UNV
Hi, it'd be great if you could update the documentation on the website that some models of the Belkin -UNV series will only work with the megatec(_usb) drivers. I wasted a lot of time on trying to get it to work with the wrong drivers, and would like to spare others the pain :-). Thanks, ~David P.S. Some forum post said that the stable megatec drivers don't work 100% with the belkin UPS,

Belkin and newhidups
Hi Peter, I got all your patches and applied them, and I wanted to say kudos for a great job done. This is the output of upsc that I'm getting right now. I had the same issue when using any cvs version (from two weeks ago) that made my UPS go into a state where it wasn't functioning normally (checking the kernel log shows that it cannot be connected and I had around a page of DEVFS_USB

USB Belkin
Hi - I've seen some notes on nut-upsdev, and I also saw patch 302111. Is this patch included in v2.0.2? I've had no luck getting the newhidups driver to detect my Belkin. I'm using Fedora Core 4 and my Belkin is F6B750-AVR. Thanks! "If happiness is having what you want, want what you have." - Bhudda __________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! -

newhidups, udev, usb, and frustration
Hello, I hope someone can help me. I'm trying to get this all working without some stupid hack. So far no dice. Not sure if there is a new feature in CVS or something that might help. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Got a belkin F6C550-AVR. redhat FC3ish system libusb-0.1.8-3 nut-2.0.3-0.fc4.2 udev-039-10.FC3.8 Now first off while udev is nifty, but the whole usb udev subsystems were

New User Questions - With Belkin USB
Hi Charles and thanks for your help. 1. I just re-started the Ubuntu/Android system. This runs a root script including "service nut-server start" followed by the same for nut-client. I can check the status on both and they show as running. I can see expected results running "upsc belkinusb". 2. When I check the results from "netstat -t -n" I am NOT finding

nut suddenly stopped working...
I almost had nut_2.0.5-3_i386.deb (from http://packages.debian.org/unstable/admin/nut - installed via dpkg, not via repository) working: * problems with getting it to come up during boot * monitoring via knutclient was OK * shutdown on low battery worked adequately, if not quite as described) and newhidups suddenly stopped talking to my Belkin F6C550-AVR . It's only been in use for a

Problems with (older) Belkin UPS & usb
Hi, I have several Belkin UPSes here that I'm trying to connect through USB. I just downloaded 2.2.0, but unfortunately I'm getting error messages. All testing was done as root. The driver says (full output is attached): ---SNIP--- eta nut # ./usbhid-ups -x productid=0750 -DDD -a belkin <...cut...> Checking device (050D/0750) (003/007) - VendorID: 050d - ProductID: 0750 -

New User Questions - With Belkin USB
Something just occurred to me. My kernel does not include USB->Serial code. Long ago, I had to figure out how to build a module for the ch341 USB->Serial adapter I use for running my Heyu home automation system. I never built one for Cypress and that seems to be what the Belkin is using. I know this because I see a line for it using "lsusb" that disappears if I unplug the UPS.

New User Questions - With Belkin USB
Thanks Roger for all your help here. I hope the 2 attachments come through. The .sh is my doctored version of the script and the .report is its output. I welcome any suggestions or ideas about what might be causing my problems with monitoring to the Belkin UPS.
