Patch for optiups to support Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG
Hi Arnaud,
Hi Scott,
Hi list,
Here is a patch to support the Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG.
I already sent a version to Russell Kroll (2006-04-09), without no response
and I cannot find support for Zinto in svn until now.
I found a discussion on this list about the Xanto from ONLINE, but the Zinto
seems to use different commands.
The commands are quite similar to those for Opti-UPS, so I

Protocol for an Arduino based UPS
Hi,
I'm building a DIY UPS for a Raspberry Pi using a 12V SLA battery, charger, and
an off the shelf 5V regulator. To monitor the battery level I'd like to use an
Arduino or similar type device. Since the Arduino can have a serial over USB
connection with the Pi I'd like to implement a protocol that can be used with NUT.
Does anyone know if something like this has already been done?

Patch for optiups to support Zinto D from ONLINE
Hi Matthias,
thanks for writing, but please reply to the nut-upsdev mailing list,
not to me personally. There are lots of good people on the list whose
input you wouldn't want to miss. Thanks, -- Peter

答复: I love NUT
Carsten,
This is a common issue in technology when you have complex products
that the majority of consumers of those products do not understand how
they operate.
If most UPS customers understood the importance of standardization they
would have refused to purchase non-standard UPSes and all UPSes would
have long ago standardized on a single management protocol.
The normal thing is that product

using select() to relate tables
I''m sorry to be asking trivial questions, but I''m new to RoR and am
hooked :), so I''m very impatient to get things up and running.
given two related tables, "pcs" and "venues" (venues have many PC''s and
each PC belongs to one venue only) I can use a select() to present venue
names in the "new PC" form along with other PC details to

Implementation of custom USV solution driver from manufacturer
Dear Nut-Devs,
I have general question to the contribution and the handling of new code in the NUT-Project.
We would like to implement our USV-Solution as a driver to NUT, but we are having the problem, that
we need a powerful “C”-based gpio library for it.
We discussed this topic internally, and we are having the opinion, that it does make sense, to write this library separate from

USB to serial converters
Anyone have an idea as to how to automatically detect the USB number and
create a sym link in the dosdevices directory.
The problem is that I have several USB devices not used at the same
time, and when the USB to serial adapter is connected, a /dev/ttyUSB? is
assigned. To use this assignment under WINE, I need to automatically
detect /dev/ttyUSB? and then create a sym link in

Administration
I know this may sound a bit lazy, but I don't really wanna bother with
writing many scripts from the Administration of my SMB-2.2.2 as an NT PDC
Box... (like adding users, deleting users, adding shares and modifying
passwords stuffs, knowing that I do the Unix-SMB password sync)... So does
anyone have good scripts, or some reference pages?? I searched everywhere in
vain for that...

UPS integration into NUT
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
we are developer and producer of UPS devices. Now we would like to integrate a small UPS via USB connection to NAS systems. We heart from third party that we need a special driver for NAS systems to work fine and to display also the company name and UPS device name in the web page / software of NAS.
Currently we have a UPS with USB and our own VID (0x2B2D) and PID

Polycom c100 XP software drivers on wine?
Hi,
I know the answer is probably negative, but there's no harm in asking
right?
I have a Polycom C100 communicator and from what I can find about it,
the real work done to make the audio as good as it is, is done in the
software they install on Windows XP.
It is a USB connected desktop handsfree mic/speaker device and it does
work on Linux O.K. but I get some problems with echo when
